Eftihia Apartments — Hotel in Municipality of Kos

These apartments are located about a 15 minute walk to the centre of Kos Town (easy 2 minute bike ride, which you can rent for around 3-4 Euros a day). The apartments are not particularly clean and super basic, but pretty much in line with the standard in Greece for this price range. ||There is a nice communal garden, and they seem to be doing some work to tidy up the property, but it's just not quite there. The apartment is in a residential area, next to a vacant block, and seems a little cut off from Kos. Also, you'll need to head to town if you need anything, as there's nothing around other than a restaurant across the street.||The two people we had interaction with were not really helpful at all. They were an hour late to check us in, "too tired" to offer their laundry service and were a bit too relaxed when the power was out for a few hours. Also, the free pool at the "sister hotel" is just a free pool at a neighbouring hotel that anyone can use... and it looked packed and gross. None of this particularly mattered to us, as we spent most of our time in town... but if you're expecting to use this place for anything other than a 'base', I would consider...

Nice place, unique rooms and a beautiful garden. Quite a lot of privacy is given by the design of the building, and it's reasonably sound proof. Cleaning, laundry (only provided towels) and dishes are done around 2 PM, make sure to get out of bed and eat breakfast beforehand. Unfortunately, since cleaning is done daily, there's no cleaning tools provided like a broom, trash bags, nor are there fresh towels available in the room. There is good Air Conditioning, a small but working fridge and a sink. There's only just enough glasses and plates for every room, which is inconvenient. I absolutely recommend Eftihia Apartments to anyone who wants to enjoy Kos Town without being sucked in the trafic and noise of the city. The apartments are in privileged location on a hill (what a fantastic sunset!!) just 5 min walking from the centre. It's perfect both for families and young people: we were 5 guys all 20-22 years and it was perfect for us as we could enjoy the nightlife of Bar Street without driving at night. I appreciated the discretion of the owners, who were always available to any request but never asked us anything. The apartment was cleaned every day (no sunday). Fair price.||P.S.
