Tonight we had dinner at Agora restaurant, in the city centre of Kos Town. We got off to a bad start, because the draught beers were completely dead, and so poorly tapped that we had to pour some of it over into another one of our glasses because it was almost half full. Right after we did this, a cockroach jumped on the table which was absolutely disgusting. After this came the starters. We ordered bread with mixed dips, which turned out to be 4 slices of pita bread and a cup almost as small as a bottle cap filled woth olive oil and a drizzle of balsamic. Not what you would expect of bread with 'mixed' dips. We also got the spicy feta and tzatziki which were mediocre, but not bad. After this we received the main course. If I would describe the food we got in one word, it would be terrible. The burgers we got were dry, and it came with a staggering ammount of six (!) fries. I got the kleftiko, which was fine, but it was a small portion. The kleftiko came with fries, which were absolutely disgusting. They were cold, soft and drenched in oil. I have added photos of the fries below. When we were about 20 minuted done with our food, we walked inside to inform the staff that we wanted to pay the check and leave. At this point, the waiters had came by a generous three times, once to take our order and twice to bring us the food and drinks. We went inside and payed the check, and after that we informed the waiters that we were not happy about the food. We told them that the fries were drenched in oil and were not fresh, to which the owner came back and showed us that the calamaris were fresh, which has nothing to do with the fries. They also said that we should have told them earlier that we were not happy about the food and beers, but they never came to our table and asked how our food was after we received our main course, so it's safe to say that the service also wasn't the best. All in all we would definately not reccomend this restaurant, and were not satisfied with the course of events, and would never return. We are willing to explain this in more...
Read moreI ordered the beef steak, but the waiter recommended another dish. We ordered a medium, but received well done. The meat was dry and tasteless. My teeth almost fell out because some bites were so hard..
Afterwards I went to the bathroom and there were only two toilets. One was missing a toilet seat, so I tried to open the other one. The door was locked from the inside. When I tried to open the door softly, the lock broke off the plinth. Both the guy inside the toilet and I were flabbergasted. So cheap..
Bad quality food, but very expensive. No discount, even after saying we didn’t order a well done. No working toilets. Worst place I’ve...
Read moreThe mushroom in garlic and Ouzo sounds great however it was lacking flavour and maybe undercooked. For the mains lamb chops and the moussaka, the lamb is cheap cuts however it is in most places, the moussaka was lacking flavour compared to others in Kos town. However the real kick for the low score is because we got our entrees and 30seconds later the mains arrived. They offered to keep them warm however lamb chops sitting on chips staying warm - no thank you. What they should have done is offer to recook the mains latter. But they didn’t, our worst meal in kos by a margin and not even...
