Echoes Milos — Hotel in Municipality of Milos

If I could give 6 stars, I would. Echoes was perhaps the most unique hotel experience I've ever had. You have wonderful privacy with entrances to the rooms on the backside of the suites. Rarely did I hear other guests in their suites, and when I did, it was not disruptive at all. The majesty of the view is hard to capture with cameras, however, even the camera gives one an idea of how special the view one wakes up to everyday is. As Echoes is a hotel, the room is made fresh everyday and breakfast items including bread, yogurt, honey and coffee is made available daily (a hidden cost saver as not once did I go out to breakfast on the island). The location is off some more rough roads and some rental car agencies in Adamas will make you get a 4-wheel drive car if they find out you are staying in Areti. If going to Milos, I would recommend a 4-wheel drive car anyways as it makes much more of the island available to you to explore. The bonus with Echoes are the two neighborhood black cats that will come and visit in the evening. Both are tame, clearly well taken care of, and enjoy human attention. We had the most incredible stay at Echoes Milos. From the moment we booked, communication with Antonis (the owner) was flawless. He was helpful, friendly, and genuine. Upon arrival, he took the time to share the story of how Echoes came to be, which made us appreciate the space even more.

The property itself is absolutely stunning, the photos truly don’t do it justice. Every detail has been so thoughtfully designed, and every amenity you could possibly need is provided. The sunsets are magical, far more special and private than trying to catch them from a crowded restaurant.

The location is perfect: close to major attractions, and just a short drive to a fantastic beach. After our outings, it was such a treat to come back to a beautifully serviced room each day, thanks to the amazing housekeeping team. The bed and bedding deserve a special mention, they were hands down the most comfortable we’ve ever had in an Airbnb.
