RIGHT ON THE BEACH, IN A GREAT PART OF MILOS

I stayed in the ground floor villa at Milos Waves for three nights with my partner and we absolutely loved it! We didn’t know much about the island of Milos before booking, and were thrilled to find that the town of Pollonia is a fantastic base on the island (about 15 minutes from the Milos ferry port). The apartment is right on a quiet stretch of pebbled water front, with sun all day, and lounge chairs to relax on. If you walk about 5 minutes, you will find the larger sand beach of Pollonia and the main street with lots of restaurants and cafes, as well as a good supermarket, pharmacy and a few retail shops. Pollonia town is charming and pretty. It’s not overly international or glamorous, more relaxed vibes for those who are looking to chill and lay low!

The villa apartment itself was fantastic. It is very newly built and incredibly clean and covid safe. It was very spacious and comfortable for two people, and it has more than enough space for a family of four, with a decent size double bedroom and a twin bedroom, both with sea views, and lots of storage and cupboard space, plus a big living room, dining room, outdoor dining area, kitchen, huge bathroom, and an outdoor space at the back with a washing line. We didn’t cook at the house as there were so many fantastic inexpensive restaurants nearby, but the kitchen is fully equipped with coffee machine (and pods), and all the pots, pans, bowls etc that you would need to prepare meals or host a dinner.

The air conditioning was excellent (we only needed to use it at night), and the wifi was strong. All round we enjoyed everything about our stay at Milos Waves, and would recommend it for anyone looking for a relaxed holiday stay in a quiet area. If you want to explore other beaches and towns in Milos, I would suggest hiring a car or off road buggy, as Pollinia town is great, but it’s a bit too far to walk to other villages and sights. There is a car parking space attached to the property for free parking.

We had a wonderful stay at the ground floor apartment at Milos Waves - it’s beautifully designed and we had a lovely terrace with amazing sunset views in a quiet location just five steps or so to the beach. The apartment is extremely well equipped and serviced every day. Pollonia is a lovely place to stay with many great restaurants just 10 minutes walk away - book in the morning to secure a table on the beach. We’d definitely recommend hiring a car to make the most of the island (there is a private parking spot at the apartment). Last but definitely not least I would like to highlight the great personal service offered by Manolis and his son George - they met us on arrival and George took the time to give us lots of very good recommendations for restaurants, beaches and places to visit. Also, when we checked out of the apartment, pulling the door behind us to head off to the airport and only once en route realising that I had left my mobile phone behind, Manolis resolved the issue within minutes and I was reunited with my phone and managed to make the plane. Manos was a fantastic host and the apartment itself was just great. We stayed on 1st floor and had complete beautiful and unobstructed views of the water and eventually stunning sunsets every night. The apartment itself was great- very clean and comfortable. It was a very enjoyable stay and the walk to Pollonia's restaurants and bars was VERY quick. Fantastic place to stay...
