I recently had the pleasure of staying at Petasos Beach Resort during my visit to Mykonos, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. I just got back from the most incredible vacation. My fiancé had initially booked us for a short stay at Petasos Beach Resort & Spa, but it was not long before this place started to feel like a home away from home and we ended up extending our stay to 3 full weeks!| |For starters, the location is unbeatable because not only does it offer easy access to two of the most popular beaches in Mykonos (Psarou & Platys Gialos) it also boasts its own private beach, exclusive to hotel guests. Another location advantage is having the bus stop right outside the hotel. In just 15 minutes you are right in the heart of Mykonos town.| |Our room was spacious for a standard category and immaculately clean. Housekeeping did a stellar job maintaining it that way, replacing towels & toiletries and replenishing the minibar as often as needed. Every day began with a generous breakfast buffet spread with assorted goodies and choice of coffee while overlooking the Aegean Sea. By late afternoon, we were lounging around the (salt water) pool area while quenching our thirst with tasty cocktails and snacking on delicious bites.| |I cannot say enough about the staff. Everyone, without exception, was courteous and attentive and made it their top priority to ensure our satisfaction. The VIP restaurant is a must try featuring an eclectic selection of gourmet dishes and stunning views of the waterfront, by romantic candlelight no less. It is also reasonably priced. If you choose to wander off the resort, several dining options await - all within walking distance - whether you choose haute cuisine or a casual meal.| |I pampered myself to a full body massage and a facial at their spa facility and left feeling completely rejuvenated. I also kept up with my workouts as their fitness center was so irresistibly inviting with state-of-the-art equipment that it motivated me to remain disciplined. I could go on and on, but this is something you must see for yourself. Stayed here July 2023. We waited over 30 minutes to check in despite being the only ones in the lobby. We were given a room with one bed despite booking two and broken air conditioning. We reported it they sent someone to fix it; it didn’t get fixed but they said it was working. It wasn’t. It was blowing hot air. They say they can change our beds to two beds; the maid comes and says no this room can’t be changed. They eventually moved our room but they moved us to a room with no view when our first room had a view. Spent 2 hours on rooms before we even get to the beach which was nice but did not have beachside service as claimed or at least in the two hours we were there no one came to see if we wanted anything. The real fun was with our rides to the airport the next morning. My friend had an early morning flight and mine was a few hours later so they helped us arrange a taxi, confirmed it would be there and said we would pay them not the taxi. Morning comes, my friend is waiting for 15 minutes past the time his ride is supposed to be here, on a tight schedule after another 5 minutes calls himself another taxi. 20 minutes later (nearly an hour after his ride is supposed to be there) they start calling the room telling me his taxi is here and I owe them payment. I tell them no this taxi is 45 minutes late and he had to get to the airport. It’s 5am I am going to sleep until I need to leave. They do not stop calling me. He is literally boarding his flight. Cut to two hours later of not being able to fall back sleep, I arrive to the front desk to ask about my shuttle to the airport. It is not there and they are again asking for payment for my friends ride that never showed up. Eventually someone brings me to the airport. Chaotic experience with the staff. I’ve stayed in other properties in Mykonos with much better experience and price...
