My friends and I stayed in Mykonos for 2 days and came to dinner both nights at Avli Tou Thodori because of their delicious food and great service. First night: we came on a busy Wed night with no reservation around 9:30am but was still able to get seated right away at a nice booth. We ordered the open grilled calamari (great texture and loved the smokey taste), spaghetti seafood (absolute must try!!) and spaghetti al pesto with pine nuts (goes great with the Parmesan cheese provided). Our foods came quickly and the servers were so attentive, coming around to refill our cups. We ordered loukoumades for dessert at the end and was told it would be on the house. Second night: we came on Thursday close to 10pm and it was a less busy night on the strip. We got seated at the same booth (per our request) and the servers even recognized us and welcomed us back. We ordered the fried calamari with tartare sauce (tasted good but prefer the grilled calamari for its smokey flavor), two spaghetti seafoods (b/c it was so delicious the first time), and margarita pizza (the only dish that disappointed us because it was basically a cheese pizza). We were so full towards the end that we declined to order dessert when the sever asked. However, he still presented us with a small cream tart and said it was on the house 🥺. Drinks: I had the virgin cocktails and liked it, esp the strawberry daiquiri. My friend ordered the pina colada, frozen mango margarita and the recommended which was a white rum with some sort of mint leaf mix. She enjoyed the recommended one most and felt all the drinks had a good amount of alcohol content unlike other places which watered down their drinks. The servers, food and atmosphere really made us love the place and would definitely eat here again if we come back to Mykonos.

We ate here for our first dinner in Mykonos and it was an unforgettable experience. The host gave us a choice between sitting inside or by the beach and we chose the beach. To our surprise, there was a table for two on the beach. Granted you sit on a bean bag/coach that was somewhat of a struggle to get in and out of but that did not take away from the amazing experience of eating on the beach. Listening and watching the small waves and admiring the building lights across the small bay was mesmerizing. The waiter was pleasant though we did not see him often. We got the feeling that he didn’t like walking on the sand, as people at other beach tables were often waving him over. The food was delicious. The honey feta sticks were light and tasty. I had the sea bass and my wife had the red snapper. The presentation was nice and the dishes had lots of flavor. For dessert, we had the doughnuts and cappuccinos, which were great and satisfied my sweet tooth. All in all, it was a great experience and I would highly recommend.

This restaurant was a wonderful find, which we chose via Google Review. Great location right by the beach. We were early, so it was not as busy as it would be 8pm onwards for diner. The greeting, friendliness and efficiency of al the staff helped make this a 5 Star experience for us. We ordered a bottle of Greek red (Katogi Averoff, a Cab Sav--Merlot++ blend) and to eat ordered a beet-bean-feta cheese with walnut crust salad and a traditional Greek Moussaka. Beautifuly prepared and full-on taste experiences! Then had a Greek mini donuts with ice cream-a perfect sweet treat to end the meal. The ambience, vibe and pro staff make this a highly recommended restaurant on Mykonos's south shore Platis Gialos area. (Avli Tou Thodori was started by current owner's father whose portrait occupies one wall; the tradition of Greek hospitality and great food here lives on!) cost: 68 Euros for 2 people inc. bottle of wine.l

I don't usually eat sea food but decided to try the grilled calamari for €20. As other reviews have mentioned, it was very chewy, but I'm not sure if it's meant to be. A 500ml bottle of local beer was €7 which is what most other restaurants seemed to be charging. Considering the location right on the beach, and knowing that Mykonos has a reputation for being expensive, I was pleasantly surprised the prices weren't higher. At the end of the meal I was given a complimentary bowl of ice cream, which was a nice touch. You are asked if you would like to leave a tip when paying, but not pressured to do so. If you are in the vicinity of this restaurant, be very careful not to visit DK Oyster, which is a few doors down. It is notorious for scamming tourists out of hundreds of Euros.

We dined at Avli Tou Thodori late for dinner one night when we stayed in Mykonos recently for vacation. We were greeted warmly by one of the restaurant hostess team members and were seated at a table immediately overlooking the beach in the patio area. The views are amazing! Our server came by to greet us a few minutes later and provided us with menus and stopped by a few minutes later to answer any questions we had. We ordered the Greek Salad, Bread Basket, and Sea Bass Ceviche to start. For entrees, we ordered the pork and breaded chicken. All items were really good, fresh and good value for the money. We really loved this experience and was a standout dining experience in Mykonos!

Awesome food, great service, good views. What else can you all for. Very chill waterfront restaurant with a great selection of plates. Went there after a friend suggested it and we just couldn't believe how tasty a chicken can be. The green homemade pasta that came with it was just a dream. Very very tasty plate. YESS THEIR WATER AND SODAS WERE AWESOMELY COLD. I never thought I'd have to ever rate coldness of beverages but after a number of restaurants in Mykonos who serve slightly chill bottled water and less than cool Coke with no ice in the middle of July I now give a rating for that also. If you've been around you'll find much truth in the annoying fact mentioned above.
