If I could give this place 10 ⭐️, I would! Starting with the human aspect of this stay - our hosts Irini and Giannis - simply🏆the best🏆!!! ❤️I dont want to even go into the details of why. Simply believe me and I hope you get to experience it for yourself 🙏
We had an amazing time during our stay at this cozy paradise and felt so cared for!
The location is very convenient- right at the heart of the town but yet hidden from crowds of tourists. It gets busy in the area during a sunset though but that is understandable- the views of the whitewashed church, sea, and the sunsetting are out of this world and right at the doorstep of this accommodations.
Rooms are extremely clean and everything says “we care”. Coffee in the room, a big bottle of water every day, wine glasses, refrigerator, white wooden hangers, Guy Laroche bedding and towels - all amazing details that made us feel very cozy.
There is a bakery 3 min walk in town that we ventured out to for great cappuccinos and fresh baked goodies (see my other reviews for the name) every morning. If you go in the morning, the usually busy streets of the town are still sleeping and you can enjoy a quite beautiful adventure and take as many pictures as you want 😊
We dont plan to return to Mykonos for Mykonos, but we will stop at this place again for one night to say “hi” to Ironi and Gianni, do a quick shopping, see the sunset, and spend a night at the Sunset...
Read moreWe have loved our stay at Sunset Paraportiani Rooms! Communication with the owner, Irene, has been excellent and any requests actioned quickly. Everything is spotlessly clean. The rooms are conveniently located near the windmills and Little Venice, just a short walk from the Sea Bus which brought us from the New Port for a mere 2 euros each. We enjoyed exploring the labyrinth of streets on foot from our apartment. I am very grateful for having Google maps on our phones as it brought us back easily after each adventure.
The room itself is a reasonable size, containing a queen-sized bed, a small desk and a couch. There is a bar fridge and pod coffee machine also. A large bottle of water is provided each day and we had the use of beach towels. We had a lovely view of the Paraportiani church next door and the sunset in the evenings.
The ensuite bathroom holds the toilet, sink and shower. My only suggestion would be the provision of some shelves in the bathroom to hold guests' toiletries and shelves in the main room for clothing. It makes travel a little harder when you have to hunt for things in your suitcase.
Thank you to Irene and her team for making our stay in Mykonos an...
Read moreIrene at Sunset Paraportiani was terrific. She made our stay even more enjoyable by being courteous, more than helpful , informative and attentive. All the suites belong to her so she goes the extra mile to ensure you're comfortable and well taken care of. She met us at the port , 5 mins away, where we arrived by seabus (2 euro from the main port from Santorini) and carried one of our suitcases. Brilliant location, esp, if you'd like to watch the sunset. another 5.10 mins walk to get breakfast. If you ask , you might get 10% discount at Captains seafood rest, by the port. We hired a car to traverse around the island to visit the beaches. Being mid october was a little cool, if you can get there Kalafati beach on the east side is one of the better beaches, otherwise super paradise is great , and so is Ornos. On the last day, Irene booked us a taxi, 15 euro to the airport, came on time, and no fuss. For a bit of education, a boat trip to Delos island is worth it. you have 1.5 hours, i'd suggest go to temple ruins side first, (right) . Overall lovely experience and different...
