Would not recommend this place. Came here as a group of 8, and were told if we want to have a whole section of the bar then there would be a minimum spend. Otherwise, we could just an appropriate setting outside to fit us all and not have a minimum spend. We chose the latter. All good.
We first asked for rose wine but they claimed that they had limited options available. However, we managed to order a rose wine along with some cocktails, beer and water. Despite the bar being half full, the drinks took half an hour to arrive (we gave them the benefit of the doubt as it can take a while to make a few different cocktails for a group of people). When they did come, they said that they didn't have the wine that we requested, and they didn't bring enough glasses for water. We instead ordered some beers, and had to ask 2 different waiting staff for glasses so we could drink the water. The glasses and extra beers eventually came after another 20 minutes of waiting (surely it can't take that long to pick glasses off of a shelf and beers from a fridge?). In that 20 minutes of waiting, we saw one of the bar staff coming downstairs with a bottle of rose wine, however he was sent back by a colleague without consulting us about whether we wanted the wine instead of the beers. And then the bill came - not only did they include the minimum spend that we specifically chose not to have, they included a bottle of wine that we had not even drank! We expressed our displeasure to the staff about the service and the experience we've had, and they came across as defensive and hostile rather than apologetic.
In summary, poor service and rude staff. Would avoid...
Read moreI never thought I’d write a negative review, but this experience deserves to be shared.
On July 7, my husband and I chose this restaurant to celebrate my birthday. Beautiful terrace, stunning view — it seemed like the perfect spot for a special evening. But it turned out that here, the priority isn’t the customer, the food, or the service. The only thing that matters is that you must order alcohol. Yes, you read that right.
We politely asked for water and orange juice while we looked through the menu. The response? A sentence that deserves a place in the manual of “how to ruin hospitality”: “Either you order cocktails, or you leave.”
Seriously? Is this a restaurant or a forced drinking club?
To avoid ruining the evening completely, my husband ordered two cocktails — even though we don’t drink. After that, we once again asked if we could at least have a bottle of water or an orange juice, since we weren’t planning to drink the cocktails. But the waitress said no — that they only serve cocktails, not water or juice. That level of arrogance is just beyond logic.
We came for a peaceful dinner, with a full order and good tips. But clearly, the staff would rather lose real customers than break their ridiculous “cocktail-only” rule.
The aggressive tone, the lack of basic hospitality, and the complete disrespect left us speechless. It honestly felt like the staff despised their job and every person walking in.
I didn’t even touch my drink. My husband paid for both cocktails, and then we left — deeply disappointed. The only thing I regret is not leaving them a one-cent tip — to show them exactly how much their...
Read moreThe Veranda Bar Mykonos is a MUST Experience at ANY Time June 2025 I have been coming to the Veranda Bar for years. The service;menu and DJ’d music will only amplify your vacation journey in Mykonos. Whether for breakfast; experiencing the beautiful sunset or after dinner, the vibes and service are great. The stunning view of the sea; meeting new people or just feel like dancing, you can unwind and enjoy yourself always. Marius and his team are creative about their menu; cocktails and most importantly, allowing you to have a great time.
Prices? Compared to other clubs and bars on Mykonos that classify themselves as exclusive ; and where the service is often lousy at best, prices at the Veranda Bar and Restaurant are just fine!
One could argue that the overall package experience at the Veranda Bar in Little Venice, Mykonos is simply priceless.
I have met my share of celebrities at the Veranda Bar and Restaurant . One never knows who is siting next to you.
Just let that magic and the art of the possible happen.
Little Venice has a special culture of its own and it is endearing.
