Our visit to Vegera Restaurant Café Bar Mykonos was one of the highlights of our time on the island. Perfectly located along the waterfront in Mykonos Town, this place combines a relaxed seaside atmosphere with exceptional service and delicious Mediterranean food. From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us with genuine warmth and professionalism — friendly smiles, quick seating, and thoughtful attention throughout the meal. You can tell they truly care about every guest’s experience.
The setting is stunning — open-air seating right by the water, where you can enjoy a cool breeze and watch the boats drift in the harbor. It’s ideal for a late lunch or an early evening dinner as the sky starts to turn gold. The interior is beautifully designed, stylish yet comfortable, with a touch of island charm.
The food was excellent. Fresh ingredients, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The salads were crisp and colorful, the grilled vegetables perfectly seasoned, and the drinks refreshing. As vegetarians, we were thrilled by how accommodating they were — they even offered to adjust dishes to make them gluten-free.
What truly stood out, though, was the service — attentive without being intrusive, fast without rushing us, and always with a genuine smile.
If you’re looking for a place in Mykonos that captures the island’s beauty, flavor, and hospitality all in one, Vegera is it. Perfect for great food, a warm welcome, and a view you’ll remember long after...
Read moreDelicious food… had the fried calamari (outstanding) and the cheese spread with pita to start. Also very tasty. Main courses… chicken penne and lamb chops… also absolutely delicious. The atmosphere of the restaurant was wonderful too and of a very high standard. Absolutely no complaints… felt welcomed by staff and service was good. However, and probably something to keep a look out for… when asked to pay and whether or not we wanted to add a tip, the answer was an obvious yes and 10% meant a €12 tip. I believe this a fair amount to tip here? The service was good… but not exceptional… but the waiter took it upon himself to round it up to €20. It might have been an honest mistake but it didn’t really feel that way which obviously created a bit of an awkward moment. Maybe he thought I wouldn’t notice or that I’d be too embarrassed to query an additional €8 which is nothing in the great scheme of things… but that’s not the point. Anyway… would definitely recommend based on food and overall experience, but keep an eye when paying the bill as it gets rounded up for you by the waiter… you don’t have the option to choose; 5, 10, 15% on the card machine which seemed standard at every other restaurant...
Read moreI went here in the off-season. The waiter was nice enough. A bit fake nice for customers, but no real complaints. We sat in the covered outdoor portion which was not well protected from the cold/wind, compared to nearby shops. That was our choice of course, but just noting it for completeness. The cocktail was actually quite good. Low on alcohol, but taste was excellent. The reason I'm giving them a 1 is the food. They brought out enormous portions of chicken and lamb chops. (I'm a bodybuilder - I eat a lot for reference) The chicken was an entire chicken almost and it was simultaneously dry and uncooked. Likely due to the size and uneven cooking. The chops were not chops. They were lamb fat cut into the shape of chops with a few random bone shards scatters throughout and almost no meat whatsoever, yet the plate was absolutely filled with them looking like its a feast on the plate. My description isn't a metaphor, they literally were not chops. I've never seen...
