These are the apartments as opposed to the beach front hotel. But to be honest there was so much to do in Naxos I was only in my room to rest. ||The room is pretty, immaculately clean and the bed is very comfortable. Good bathroom and amenities. The location is situated half way between the beach and the town so you can access these areas easily by foot. ||The confirmation email I received gave me very clear instructions and the google location on how to get there. I arrived by ferry and it was a 15 minute walk. I am a healthy female and had wheels on my suitcase and though it was good exercise the effort for me was not excessive to walk there. ||I was greeted by Fotini who is absolutely delightful. She speaks good English and does all she can to make you feel welcome. ||There is a beach club nearby at St George beach where you can hire a sunbed at reduced rates. And it’s walking distance to the Potara Apollo which you must visit at sunset. ||Yes, the vista is not particularly glamorous but the upside is the location, the comfort of the room and the staff. You are also close to two excellent restaurants: Maro and To Elliniko, both of which I recommend. ||Thank you Fotini. ||Travel...
Read moreOur recent stay was not horrible, but it could have been better. The reception service and experience was lovely, we were welcomed warm heartedly and were advised on things to do and see around the island. We were invited to park right out front as well which was a bonus. Our room was clean and always taken care of every day. We chose Ippokampos because it had a kitchenette but we were disappointed in how equipped it was and the cleanliness of some of the utensils. The aircon was difficult to deal with and you could not redirect the air away from the bed when you sleep. Not to mention that your room will not stay cold while you are out as you need the key to be in the wall to keep the electricity on. So coming back from a hot day at the beach is not refreshing for approx another 30 minutes until you get the unit going again. It also seemed as though the walls were paper thin as we could hear kids playing in the streets late into the night. We did enjoy the fact that you were able to use the beach beds at the sister Ippokampos beach front. They took care of us each time we went. The location is great, it is close proximity to pretty much everything including beaches if...
Read moreWhen we first arrived we had no idea where we were and to be honest thought we were staying at the beachfront apartments so were a little miffed. However once we settled in, walked to the beach, got our bearings we decided we couldn’t be happier. The rooms are exceptionally clean and the apartments are located in a nice quiet area but so close to everything. Easy walking distance to town or beach, both offer loads of restaurants and shops.||Staff are super friendly and a special shout out to the young girl on reception who was extremely efficient and friendly.||Only negative is the really poor wifi reception, it was frustrating.||It was nice to go to the beach and chair rental is offered to guests at a reduced price but really it should be free for hotel guests.||St George’s beach is nice but there are much better so would only be inclined to go there on lazy days.||Naxos is a great...
