Prasini Gonia — Hotel in Municipality of Sifnos

We visited Sifnos for a 4 day trip. We made a last minute booking and we were very lucky to find a vacant room in Prasini Gonia in Platis Gialos since Sifnos was already packed. Miss Litsa, the owner, is a lovely person. She made our stay as much enjoyable as possible. Our room was situated on the first level of the residence. It had a shared veranda where was really nice to chill out early in the afternoon. The room was daily cleaned and it was equipped with all the basic/necessary things. At some point, we needed a wine bottle opener and wine glasses. Litsa, gladly found out us some in a blink of an eye. The bed was comfy and the air-conditioning worked really well. Wifi was lagging a little bit but signal and connectivity issues are usual in the island so we didn't pay much of attention. We traveled by car and luckily Prasini Gonia is situated on a spot where you can easily find a spot to park. Όμορφη η πράσινη γωνιά, με ωραία θέα και με την κυρία Λίτσα πάντοτε άμεση, εξυπηρετική και ευγενική!!! Η αλήθεια είναι ότι όταν πας διακοπές σε νησί, δε σε ενδιαφέρει τόσο το δωμάτιο, αφού όλη μέρα θα είσαι στις παραλίες και για φαγητό/ποτό. Το δωμάτιο (μείναμε στο δωμάτιο 1) ήταν μια χαρά, ωστόσο το μπάνιο είχε κάποια ελαττώματα: το πόμολο έβγαινε και για να κλείσει η πόρτα, έπρεπε να την σπρώξεις με δύναμη και να κλειδώσεις κάνοντας πολλή φασαρία και το στεφάνι της λεκάνης είχε ξεβιδώσει. Ευτυχώς βέβαια, αυτά είναι πράγματα που λύνονται, τα μεταφέραμε και θα διευθετηθούν! Το κακό ήταν πως το νερό δεν είχε πίεση, πράγμα το οποίο συμβαίνει σε όλον τον Πλατύ Γιαλό, όπως ενημερωθήκαμε. Επίσης, είχε καλαθάκι για πρωινό με προμήθειες για μία μόνο ημέρα, παντοφλίτσες, απορρυπαντικό-καθαριστικό για τη λεκάνη και η καθαρίστρια ήταν πολύ διακριτική και ευγενική. Το WiFi έπιανε φουλ. Το προτείνω σε κάποιον που δεν είναι πολύ απαιτητικός, αλλά όχι σε κάποιον με υψηλές απαιτήσεις. Τέλος, κάτι που ήταν πολύ όμορφο, φεύγοντας η κυρία Λίτσα μας έκανε από ένα μικρό αναμνηστικό δωράκι...

The place is cheap, but only has the bare necessities. The hotel is run, cleaned and serviced by the owner only and the rooms have only the minimum in terms of appliances and upkeep.
