This place has the best views, it is beautiful. It overlooks the bay with the port being on the far side. The guy who runs it is very helpful and friendly. He can arrange any taxi pick ups for you in advance. And plenty more if you ask.
The rooms are modern ish and immaculately clean, serviced every day. You get pool towels, shower towels, hand towels and face cloths. It is a little out of the way, basically on the side of a cliff, about a 10 - 15 minute walk to the town. Please note, there is no snack bar or bar here, so you need to plan for that. There is a fridge and kettle etc in the room. The breakfast is continental, plenty of it and very tasty. You will not go hungry and it will set you up for the day. Something of note, the pool is not really attached, it is a 5 minute walk further down (see the sunset photo, you can see it lit up) The pool, for all it is separate, is clean and well kept. There are only a handful of places to eat in the village, but one option is to hop on the bus in the village, and go down to the beach. Another handful of places to eat and drink down there. Cost €2 pp each way and they run every half hour. The beach itself is pebbles not sand. You can rent some of the very limited sunbeds for €20 a day for 2 including an umbrella. If you want a relaxing, away from the hustle and bussle quiet place, this is most...
Read moreWe had very pleasant stay in Blu Rooms. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. There was a fridge and a kettle. The owner welcomed us with two bottles of water and he was very helpful - he even printed a bus timetable for us! We loved the breakfast which was HUGE and delicious. The best part was the view - it's unforgettable! We had amazing view from our window and private veranda - sea at your fingertips! We also enjoy using the swimming pool, sometimes we had it only for ourselves! Excellent location, especially if you want to relax and have a good starting point for exploring Santorini. Akrotiri is more calm and quiet than Thira or Oia and we really liked that. There is a bus stop pretty close to the hotel (about 5-10 minutes walking, next to the grocery store), which goes to Akrotiri and Thira. We only use it once to go to Thira (it was on time and had AC!). There is about 25-30 minutes walking to Red Beach. We also recommend renting scooter or quad, it's very nice way to explore the island. We truly recommend Blu Rooms and we would love to stay there again when we visit...

Breakfast was tasty, every day small changes made it nice variable:) rooms were refurbished and nice, bed is comfortable. Air co, tv, hairdryer, hangers, there is everything u could need. Toiletries were refilled everyday. We had to leave really early in the morning for the ferry and they packed us breakfast and there is a little surprise at the end, that just made us so. Happy!! If we are in Santorini we will definitely stay here again! We had a rental car, there is parking on the ground, pool is a nice touch - having a swim while watching the sunset is cool:)! The area is quiet and close to the red beach, black beach, lighthouse where u can watch also the sunset (just like from Oia), but with car everything is close and within 20-30min reach. Akrotiri village is 9 min walking:) rooms were cleaned everyday and kept neat:) the owners are friendly relaxed and helpful with a lot of great suggestions :) we loved our stay here,...
