A Blissful Retreat in Santorini – Highly Recommended! My recent 4-night stay at the Elysian Retreat in Santorini was an absolute delight, and I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a luxurious and relaxing escape. From the moment we checked in, the staff's warmth and attentiveness were remarkable. We had initially booked a villa without a heated pool, but the lovely Imaan at reception suggested upgrading to a more private villa with a heated pool. While I was hesitant to spend extra, Imaan's persuasive recommendation, highlighting the benefits of a heated pool even on warmer days, proved to be absolutely spot on. She was so right – the weather was surprisingly cool at times, and the heated pool made all the difference, allowing us to enjoy a swim regardless of the temperature. It was money well spent! The location of Elysian Retreat is another major plus. It offers a peaceful sanctuary away from the bustling crowds, yet it's incredibly convenient, with Oia just a pleasant 15-20 minute walk away. This allowed us to enjoy both tranquility and easy access to the village's charm. The breakfast served at the resort was consistently delicious, offering a great start to our days. While the property still has some areas under construction, the overall aesthetic is already quite beautiful and well-maintained. A special shout-out must go to Imaan for her exceptional hospitality. Her kindness, friendliness, and genuine care truly enhanced our stay, and she deserves extra points for her outstanding service. Unfortunately, the last two days of our trip were affected by a dust storm, making the pool and outdoor areas unusable. However, Elysian Retreat quickly turned this setback into a highlight! We decided to get a couples massage, and it was simply wonderful. We left feeling completely relaxed and rejuvenated. We also appreciated the restaurant recommendations provided by the resort. The food, both at the hotel and in the nearby village, was consistently excellent, and I'm now a huge fan of Greek salads! If I had to nitpick, my only minor complaints would be the limited wardrobe space in the room, which made it a bit challenging to store our clothes, and the somewhat low water pressure in the shower. However, these minor inconveniences were completely overshadowed by the incredible hospitality and the overall beauty and comfort of the Elysian Retreat. Our stay at Elysian Retreat was absolutely perfect! We booked Villa Serenity for our stay but on the last night upgraded to Villa Harmony (pictures of room attached).

From the minute I first contacted the hotel, all correspondence was so kind, welcoming and helpful. I was booked in by Manolis who made it really easy and I knew exactly what we were getting.

When we arrived, everyone was incredibly hospitable! Panos and Eleni ensured our stay was perfect. Nothing was too much for them and they were always happy to help. They gave us recommendations, made reservations on our behalf, they were responsive on WhatsApp whenever we had requests and they were just so genuine and willing to help. All the staff were great, the waitress who served us every morning was always smiling and the cleaners were friendly and came to our room at times that were convenient for us and the man who took our bags was always super helpful. Even the pool cleaner was out every morning getting the facilities ready for the day whilst people were still in bed.

The hotel itself is stunning! We were told it only opened last year so everyone still feels very shiny and new. Every villa has a private pool and there’s also a beautiful communal infinity pool for all guests to use. The hotel is a little out of Oia which was perfect for us because it meant the area was nice and quiet so we could relax and get away from the busier areas. We rented a car for our stay for getting around was easy.

We upgraded to VIP which meant we could check out late and also took advantage of the laundry service (so glad we can return home with clean clothes!).

We went on our honeymoon with the goal of finding a pleasant, beautiful, quiet, and harmonious place with easy access to tourist activities, but without being fully immersed in them.

And we found exactly what we were looking for! After much research, Elysian Retreat turned out to be the much-desired promise.

Honestly, it surpassed and exceeded our expectations. Our dear host Eleni was always available and attentive, the room service, the divine breakfasts, and the beauty of our room—modern and new, with a private pool of ideal depth—perfectly complemented the experience.

And, of course, the view of the sunset from the room was unforgettable.

At the end of the day, being bathed in a bright orange glow added even more magic to our honeymoon.

We chose Villa Elegance (Villa no. 3) because it seemed the most private, and it was undoubtedly the best choice.

We had only two neighbors, but they were easily concealed by the external walls of the pool, which provided even more tranquility and serenity.

We also took the opportunity to enjoy an incredible couples massage in our room, performed by Ana and Eri.
