Located between the pretty small village of Megalochori and Pyrgos. We are so glad to stay here, away from the hustle and bustle of Fira and Oia. Our room has a small balcony and overlooks the pool. Bathrobes, loads of towels, slippers, toiletries, aftersun cream coffee and tea bar/kettle, daily bottle water (water tap is not drinkable in Santorini), mini fridge provided and macaroons on our last day.Our room was spotless, cleaned everyday eventhough we were hardly in. Breakfast was from 8 am until 11 am, which meant we could have a lie in. Drinks can be ordered until 11 pm, and the meal stops at 6 pm. Please do not be put off. There are so many restaurants in Pyrgos and Megalochori that are open until midnight, and if you fancy a takeaway, just ask the receptionist with plenty of takeaways to offer. There is plenty of sun lounger and towels provided. We found the pool area never crowded. I can't thank the staff who were so friendly and helpful enough. The cook, the housekeeper, and the receptionists. I would like to say a special thank you to Irene and Julian, wo went above and beyond. You are both a credit to your work.||A must: Visit Santo wine, which is 200 metres from the hotel. Visit Pyrgos village and Megalochori. Just be careful, particularly families with young children and buggy. The walk to Pyrgos village - there is no path from the hotel until you reach the church across from santo wine. There's a couple of pedestrian crossing, some drivers stops but some don't. The walk to Megalochori village- there is a small path on the left (just before you get to the junction), which takes you to a small car park and then the village. It's not the best path. However, it is much safer as it's such a busy road. Go to Perissa beach- black sandy beach with loads of restaurants to eat. Don't forget to watch the sunset from your sun lounger - the cheapest way to watch the sunset.Go to Ammoudi Bay - we had dinner in Dimitri and watched the sunset. We did the sunset boat trip - walked the volcano, swam in the hot springs, dinner in Thirasia, and watched the sunset from the boat - not the best, I'm afraid.||*please do not be put off getting the bus. It's so easy, cheap (2 euros one way)and every 10 minutes. There are 3 bus stops near the hotel (across from santo wine and the church). The front house is more than happy to give you the timetable, where to catch...
Read moreWe stayed at the Impressive One for a week at the start of September 2024. The hotel was spotlessly clean, our room was perfect, and the staff were all so friendly and always happy to help. ||We stayed in the junior suite with a huge wrap around balcony and the most amazing views of the sunset. We spent couple of nights cancelling dinner plans to sit on the balcony with a bottle of wine and watch the sunset. Santorini skies are beautiful, It was absolutely perfect. ||The room came equipped with an iron, a hair dryer ( that actually was a great hairdryer - not your usual flimsy hotel dryer), a fridge, robes, slippers and lovely products in the bathroom.|Having read reviews mentioning the busy road, we were worried it may be an issue but we didn’t find it to be an issue at all. If anything we quite enjoyed that we could watch the world go by from our balcony ! ||It was a great location for the fact that we had a wedding to attend at The Santorini gem - just a couple of minutes walk up the road. It is also right near santo winery which I would recommend 100%. It’s about a 15-20 minute walk into Pyrgos, which is a small but lovely town, well worth the walk up to the castle whilst you’re there. Be aware that the majority of the walk is on the roadside which is a little precarious at night. There is also a shop just behind the hotel ( about a 5 min walk at most ) where you can stock up on snacks and drinks at great prices! Most other towns were around 15/20 mins in a taxi which we often found to be quite pricey but totally worth it. The hotel were more than happy to arrange taxis for us whenever we needed. ||The food was good, breakfast was plentiful and open till late morning which was nice and allowed for a sleep in! The lunch and dinner menu is small, they don’t serve meals past 6pm which is worth being aware of and there wasn’t much in the way of ‘bar snacks’ for during the day around the pool but the few meals we had there were still delicious and the service was 10/10.||Overall this hotel was perfect, the staff couldn’t have been more lovely and we are so grateful for such a memorable trip. We would absolutely recommend this hotel and would...

The room as booked and seen in the booking site they were the same... Very well maintained. But by the evening the shower area drain was emitting some foul smell since it was a little late call the plumber the girl on the reception (now a different member of the staff ofcours) said they will get it fixed the next day. The room ac was placed in such way that it wasn't correctly cooling the room and the outside temperature was 29° -30°C SO we asked them to check if something could be done about that as well. Also we had requested them to give us our breakfast by 7:30am as we had full day tour which was going to start at 8:30 and we were going to get picked up from our hotel between 8-8:15 am to which they agreed. The next day we were ready have our breakfast but unfortunately the breakfast got ready and was given to us by 7:45-7:50am so we had to leave most of it.. And took with us in a small baggy to eat it on our way to the excursion. By the time we returned back in our hotel it was quite late around 10pm and the room was nicely made and cleaned. The drain's foul smell was gone. But the ac cooling problem wasn't resolved so my husband requested if they could atleast get a fan which the nice lady on the reception arranged. So we had stayed here for 3 nights and 4 days. We for our last day we were going to leave at 5am to the port the girl on the reception very sweetly offered to pack us a bag of breakfast which can carry for our ferry journey she printed our ferry tickets and even booked us a cab ride for the morning for 5€ cheaper then we were trying to book with some other cab agency. (her kind gesture was rewarded as well).
The location of the hotel is perfect as it is closer to Port and has bus stops to go to thera, oia, pyrgos etc.
The hotel itself is well maintained and has beautiful pool with outside sitting space. also a nice dinning space where you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The staff members are really sweet and helpful and great service providers.
All in all it was good experience, I definitely see myself coming back to the hotel for another...
