Albus Villas — Hotel in Municipality of Thira

This was our first time to Greece and to Santorini. My husband and I travelled with 2 of our kids, girl 17 and boy 13. Everything about our stay was wonderful. The location of the Villa is spectacular. It is located in the middle of the island. Every place is within a 25 minute ATV ride. The touristy Oia is a 25 minutes drive, bustling Fira is 10 minutes drive, the small more local oriented Pirgos is 2 minutes drive, the gorgeous and delicious Santos winery is a 3 minute walk!! The view of the water from the Villa is beautiful. Even the gas station near to the Villa wasn't so bad The Villa is beautiful and the managers were very helpful and friendly. The Villa fit our needs perfectly. My husband and I had our own room and bathroom plus a bonus indoor hot tub! We have a hot tub at home which I rarely use, but the convenience and privacy of this one was great. We used it everyday. Our kids each had their own room (daughter in loft and son in family room). They had the space and privacy they needed. Breakfast is provided and included choices of fresh bread, sweet bread, Greek specialities, fresh fruit, omelette, juice, and coffee. It turns out that we don't like Greek coffee, so it might have been nice to have a traditional coffee pot or cappuccino. Otherwise, breakfast was great, and the person who fixed it was friendly, gracious, and a kind host. She encouraged us to be specific about what we wanted. Horrible!!! We booked a small villa for two, and when we arrived, another woman had already been checked in. An unpleasant man met us and started showing us a room in another villa, where the bedroom was in the basement, and said that he wanted to check us in there! But we booked a completely different villa. We refused this option and were told that they would return our money, but they still haven’t returned it and the money for our trip was frozen. In addition, because of this, we spent a whole day looking for another place to stay, and we only allocated 2 days for Santorini. We enjoyed staying at this location a lot. Penelope, Lee and Valentyna took really good care of us. Their responsiveness, attention to detail and high quality service are of exceptional standard. From the very first email, the responses were prompt and accurate. They picked us up at the airport, were available to check us in, took care of every request and an awesome breakfast was delivered every morning. They even took care of a last minute request for a rental car and had one delivered to us. Very high quality place with outstanding service.
