Staying at the light blue window was one of the highlights of our trip. Our host, Spyros (who's also the owner) is an amazing human being and truly cares about your overall experience. He helped us with everything, from transfers to and from the hotel, directions, information to avoid tourist traps, and more. He even arranged an amazing excursion to the volcano on a lovely wooden ship that ended up with me and my partner watching the sunset from a boat, an experience that I'll remember forever.
Having such a great time there, we decided to stay one more day but unfortunately they were full. But this was not enough to stop him! he helped us find another room in a nearby hotel for the same price. Talk about service!.
The hotel is small, but newly constructed. Our room was extremely clean, super cozy and well equipped, including a powerful air conditioner, safe and even a cute little balcony where you could hang out.
The beach is literally 2 blocks away, and so are the shops and restaurants which are open from early in the morning until (very) late at night. Still the room was completely silent allowing for a great night's sleep.
I know where I'm going to stay in my next visit to Santorini! Thanks again for being such a great host! Or as they say there "Sas...

Read moreIf you are going to Santorini, staying in Kamari can be an excellent, if not an exceptional choice - especially for those who love swimming in the ocean, a wide variety of amazing dining options on a promenade by the sea, or the ability to actually jog in the morning and go up to the 16th century B.C. Ancient Thera ruins site on the mountain right next to the village. ||||This hotel is an absolute dream (or so it was for us). Our group had 3 different rooms, and all were fantastic. ||The service is top-notch, and the hosts are very caring and responsive people. All in all very beautiful, clean, functional, and sweet home away from home, which we really didn't want to leave ...and the beach is under 3 min walk as is the supermarket. Highly...
