It's long time since my last review, but Nissia well deserves without any doubts.||With my wife and the 2 kids of 6 and 10yrs spent 3 entire weeks in Nissia and became part of this great staff.||Let start with the location first:|Located right in front of the private beach with free sunbeds available for guests, you just need to cross a few meters of pedestrian road and you're there.|The location is in the heart of Kamari along the pedestrian beach road, there are plenty's of restaurants, pubs, shops, and minimarkets close in a couple of minutes walking with no noise during the night. The airport is not so far from there, 10-15 min by taxi, you can see the flights landing very close but the noise is not disturbing at all. Our kids were exicted any time to see the planes so closely.|There is a pool with free sunbeds all around and a bar managed by our friend Spiros where you can order drinks and food from the kitchen staff. You can spend a day at the pool without moving a finger.|The breakfast should be selected every day for the day after and will be served to your room directly by a lovely young lady, we are all missing your kindness, Theoni. She will follow any wish you might have along the day.|The Suites, ours was the nr 8 front-pool, very large Suite for 6 pp with patio and tub-bath for us, there is a daily cleaning (super-clean policy) and replacement of used towels, even for sunbeds.|There is a small kitchen full equipped, with coffe machine, tea boiler, cutboard... . |The bathroom was large enought with big shower separated by a wall, in the main bedroom there is a large tub bath also. Last but not least the air conditioning was very powerful.|As said the breakfast should be ordered a day before and will be delivered at the time you want, the selection is wide, but you can agree different menus in case, they are very flexible.|The reception is open until 11pm but you can get in touch with the staff at any time in case.|The pool is always available, with smooth entrance easy for babies as well. We took a bath at midnight with the kids but of course safety is under your responsibility.||The staff;|This is the add value of Nissia.|How can I describe how they manage the Customers?|They are always superkind, available to support any kind of needs you have in mind, and they will do it for you, you will do nothing. A silly sample, for my diet I asked for some special seeds at breakfast and they found it out!|The reception is managed by Jenny and Kostas, we have no words to describe how much they took care of us, I can simply say: EFHARISTO' ! Thank you, Grazie!.|Spiros and Theoni team up to manage the bar, breakfast and lunch foods at the pool or even at the beach directly, they cuddled our kids for 3 weeks.|Dora and Nikos, the managers, are leading the staff daily, they have large experience in 5* Hotel management, anytime plenty of advices for their guests.|All in all, we are used traveling frequently all around the world, but the time spent in Nissia is and will remain one of the best we ever had.||Thank you Nissia team the best staff ever!||We consider you all as our friends...
Read moreWe stayed for 10 nights, 2 adults and 2 children aged 11 and 12, at Nissia Beach Apartments, Kamari.||Our accommodation was a one bedroom apartment which was positioned towards the back of the hotel (we were advised that none of the one bedroom apartments overlooked the beach or the pool).||The room had a simple, Greek design but was very basic regarding storage. There was one wardrobe for the 4 of us with 5 hangers and two drawers at the bottom. No chest of drawers but a bench in the corridor to put the suitcases on (so you had to live out of your suitcases). In addition, the apartment could have done with an additional mirror in the hall with a side unit to store things (for those sleeping in the kitchen area), plus some hooks on the back of the bathroom/bedroom doors and a box of tissues on the bedroom dressing table.||The room was cleaned daily (again a basic level). Clean towels were provided everyday (except on the days the maid forgot so we had to go down to Reception to ask for some). Plus daily beach towels are provided each day. By the end of our 10 days the apartment really needed dusting and a thorough bathroom clean which I don’t think was done during our stay. ||The breakfast was not buffet but you are offered a choice from the same daily menu which included omelette, scrambled eggs/fried eggs, fruit salad, Greek cake, natural yoghurt with muesli and chocolate crepe which my daughter loved. For a few days this choice is fine, but after 10 nights a more varied selection would have been nice (especially for the children), to maybe include croissants/pastries/cereals/flavoured yoghurts etc.|Theoni and the younger Kostas were very helpful, everyday dashing around serving everyone breakfast, especially after 10am when naturally everyone gets up and comes down for breakfast. Thank you to both of them for their hard work and friendliness especially when the heat is beating down. Both are true gems of the hotel, and keep things running. ||The swimming pool is an average size, with a jacuzzi attached and pool bar/sun beds. Sand from the beach did get in the pool and during our 10 days we did not see anybody cleaning the pool. ||Kamari itself is a great holiday venue with so many restaurants and shops along the sea front. There’s plenty of choice. A few bars also have karaoke or live singers in the evenings. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. ||The highlight of our holiday was visiting Fira and Oia - wow, what beautiful traditional Greek towns with stunning sunsets. They are a must to visit!||We also visited Kamari open air cinema (15 minute walk out of the town) to watch Mamma Mia. Great experience. People queued from 7:30pm, doors opened at 8:30pm and the film started at 9:30pm. There was a bar selling hotdogs, popcorn, nachos, beer, cocktails and soft drinks. A fun night out!||We very much enjoyed our stay at Nissia Beach...
Read moreWould you want to return to a place? is the most important question. ||For us, Nissia Apartments, the answer is YES.||We were warmly welcomed by Costa on arrival. He gave us a quick tour and advised us of the breakfast and bar opening times. He took our cases and showed us to our apartment. The 1st floor apartment was spotless. ||The appointment was large with 2 rooms, one with 2 single beds and the other with a large double. We found the bed was very comfortable. ||Kitchenette was basic but functional with 2 cooking rings, a fridge with freezer, coffee pod machine ( 2 pods of very strong Greek coffee, cream and sugar supplied) and a kettle. There was an adequate amount of pans, plates, cups, glasses etc. Everything was clean. ||Bathroom was a decent size and the shower had good pressure with plentiful hot water at all times. Our toilet cistern sprung a leak on our 2nd day which we reported. It was dealt with immediately and fixed. Great service standards and wonderful staff. At certain 5-star accommodation, we have had to wait days to get things repaired, if at all. ||Our small patio with a jacuzzi was present and overlooked the pool, bar, breakfast area and the sea. The jacuzzi is unheated, so we didn't use it, but it would be fantastic on a hot summer evening. The pool was a decent size and had a few sunbeds with umbrellas. The Apartments have their own section of the beach opposite with loads of sunbeds and umbrellas.| | The whole resort was clean. Our apartment was spotlessly cleaned daily. Everyone was happy, helpful and did everything they could to make your holiday great. ||Breakfast was served in a covered restaurant area in front of the accommodation next to the beach. It is all waiter service, and everything is prepared fresh. The choice available was varied and excellent quality. Costa was there every morning to welcome us. ||There are loads of restaurants and bars just outside the Apartments.| |It would have been nice to have a large bottle of water in the appointment when we arrived, it would have saved us having to go to a supermarket immediately after arriving from a long day of travelling, I did mention this to them. ||A big thank you to all at Nissia Apartments, sorry I did not get...
