Me and my husband stayed here for the last 3 nights of our honeymoon.|The staff here were honestly so friendly, helpful, kind and welcoming.|The location of the hotel is literally a hidden gem!!! Santorini is known as being so crazy busy and with limited privacy as you see on social media but this hotel was perfect!! it's right in the centre of Fira and has the most idilic views of the Caldera. Yes there were a few people that walked past our room as there is a street for pedestrians that is right next to the Jacuzzi but it wasn't as busy as you see on social media at all, the street itself is a very quiet street and it was only every so often that someone would walk past. |The hotel room itself was amazing, we stayed in the honeymoon suite which had the Jacuzzi and cave room which was just beautiful. We had breakfast delivered to our room every morning and it was unlimited so we could have what we wanted and however much we wanted. |The views from the hotel were just beautiful, some nights we just sat on our balcony looking over the caldera admiring the wonderful view. |The staff were amazing!!!! We did opt for the hotel transfer from the port which was well worth it with all of the steps and narrow streets so it was nice to know we didnt have to try and navigate our way to the hotel without help. |We were kindly gifted a bottle of bubbly on arrival as a treat for being on our honeymoon and also on our second day whilst we were relaxing in the Jacuzzi, one of the staff kindly came over to use and gave us the most delicious glass of wine. Honestly we couldn't thank the staff here enough! |Beds were so comfortable and rooms very nicely decorated with a very unique cave feature typical of that Santorini style. |It's not a hotel complex with a shared pool/large reception/restaurant etc as it just has a very small reception room but this is what we wanted as we knew we would be going out to explore and eat in restaurants in Santorini.||I would definitely recommend this place to stay and would stay here again 100%.|Thank you again to all of the staff as you made our honeymoon one to remember!||Toni &...
Read moreLimestone is a 20 out of 10!! Google describes this as a 3-star hotel, and I would say that it’s an inaccurate description, because this is 5-stars, 5-stars only.
This is a very small hotel, which adds to its charm. There are 5 rooms in total, and 3 staff members. Everything you need is just a call, WhatsApp message, or visit to the reception away. The rooms (each with their own pool) are laid out on the cliffside and connected by an outdoor “lobby” which gives you the feeling that you have a private villa.
The hospitality here is unmatched: the manager Thrasos and his team go above and beyond to ensure that you are having an excellent holiday.
We had the opportunity to stay in 2 rooms: the Junior Suite and the Superior Suite, so we got the full spectrum of what Limestone has to offer. The Junior is small, but what it lacks in space it offers what other suites cannot: an unobstructed view of the sea and caldera from the bed/room. Also, if you are 1 person or a couple, the Junior is fine as long as you know that it’s going to be a bit tight. The bathroom is spacious, and the pool for the Junior Suite is the gorgeous private cave pool featured on the website photos.
We were kindly upgraded to the Superior Suite mid-stay and it was excellent. Extremely spacious, perfect for several people, equipped with a private pool in the foyer and a rooftop pool on the massive terrace. The Superior is one of the cave homes, so it is an oblong shape that extends backwards with stunning inner archways and very roomy.
Everything we needed in Fira was very close, and the transport to/from the airport which Thrasos suggested prior to arrival was hassle-free.
Our stay at Limestone was incredible, and worth every euro + more. Big thanks to Thrasos, Dionysus, and the sweet cleaning lady whose name I don’t know unfortunately. Already looking forward to...
Read moreMy wife and I arrived into Santorini for our Honeymoon at 5am. Thrasos, the manager at Limestone arranged a car for us to get transportation from the airport to the hotel. Since we arrived extremely early for the 2pm check-in, we felt a little stuck.
No problem, Thrasos and Visilius to the rescue! Visilius made us feel at home, making us delicious Greek coffee and sharing his favorite music with us. At sunrise he suggested a little walk nearby to get great photos while we waited for our room to be ready. At 8am we came back to the hotel and met Thrasos.
Because check in isn’t until 2pm, he arranged a rental car for us, showed us all the hidden gems of the island on a a map and even made us breakfast. (We we’re starving and still cannot thank him enough) with a map and a full stomach we went off to explore his suggestions.
We saw the ancient city of Akorti and had lunch at a hidden gem called Dolphins (amazing seafood). After more driving and exploration we came back to be greeted once more with a smile and open arms by Thrasos. He helped us get settled into our room and to our surprise we found out that we had been upgraded to the honeymoon executive suite (with private terrace and best views in the hotel) and he even had a bottle of sparkling wine chilled and ready us.
The rest of our time spent there was like a fairytale, from late nights in the jacuzzi, to a private in-room massage, Thrasos and his staff took amazing care of us. THE BEST HOSPITALITY I’VE EVER EXPERIENCED ANYWHERE!!!!
In our future travels to Santorini, we cannot imagine staying anywhere else, their professionalism and attention to detail is bar none and they love to take care of their guests. Great location, amazing views, and a staff that will be our friends for life!
Thank you Limestone, can’t wait to see...
