Alismari — Restaurant in Municipality of Thira

Avoid this place! When we sat here on the sunbeds, there were some masseurs who try to induce you to take a thai massage or similar. Now you know these people, you can see them in any Greek beach but the problem with this beach was there were maybe 10-15 of them. They circled this beach throughout all the day, asked everyone of us for a massage every 5 minutes, some women touched my wife and others insistently to show how a massage is as if we don't know and then they sat on the empty sunbeds freely and started to talk non stop with a loud noise.

We were nice to them at the beginning but once we noticed that they are not normal I said "that's enough". After that point that one disappeared and they were back as a group. I told them to quiet down, this is our holiday and they mocked and laughed in their own language. They were quite annoying and we needed to leave some time later.

Now the real problem is, this beach is the first one when you walked down from the busses so thats why its a popular target for harrasment. I told the problem to the staff but he was either hopeless about the situation or didnt want to deal with them.

The worst order, We ordered the starters and main food. We Got the starters but after 2 hours wait “yes 2hr wait” when we asked the waiter they was shocked “like we didn't make the order” they said that we are not getting the main food. They could see our pain and hunger and disappointment and They told us that they cannot make risotto and pasta. They clearly knew they could not make the food and said we could choose something else apart from the original food we ordered, We will never come back again after this experience. Choose better place. When we placed the order the lady didnt informed us that they cannot make the food ;)

You left us all with no food and no information that you had problems with your Kitchen. Only you tell us that you had issues after 2hour wait. So this is ok.

We had had lunches two times in Alismari. Thought it would be a great place for our last evening in Santorini. We ordered our food with apetizers and starters. We enjoyed both the apetizers and the starters. We were also served with the wine we ordered. Then it took time and food didn't come. People around us got their food and payid for it. We just didn't get our food. After an hour we just had it. When we asked for the cheque, we were told that the food was kept warm for us. Nobody explained though why was it "kept warm" without us asking for it. When I payd the bill for the starters and the wine, no apologies were made. Just the opposite, the Madam seemed to be aggrivated for our behaviour. And we definitely wanted to avoid any scene. So my suggestion is that you avoid the place...
