Aroma & Gefsi — Restaurant in Municipality of Thira

Please do yourself a favour and avoid this restaurant. Frozen food, can’t cook any meat properly and don’t clear your plates. I walked past the kitchen and it is 90% microwave. They advertised grilled meat and fish, but there isn’t a grill in sight. You may notice this yourself on the pilgrimage to their toilets. They also seem to charge a little more than other restaurants on the beach and they lure you in with a free glass of wine that doesn’t arrive. The compensation for the inedible food was a standard “you must pay before you leave” sort of threat.

I think it’s a typical- you’re only here once we’ll Take your money sort of location. They offered no sort of refund or money off the bill for the 3 courses we didn’t consume. It’s a shame when every other place next door and around their restaurant has been fantastic.

It would have been nice to have my money back because I’ve just wasted €85 and had to go...

We had an unforgettable dinner at this beautiful seaside restaurant in Santorini. The view of the Aegean Sea during sunset was absolutely breathtaking — the kind of scenery you only dream about.

The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive without being intrusive. We were seated right by the water, and the atmosphere was both romantic and relaxed.

As for the food — everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We especially loved the seafood linguini and the seafood risotto. The local white wine they recommended paired perfectly with our meal.

Prices were reasonable considering the location and quality. This place truly captures the magic of Santorini — great food, great service, and a view you’ll never forget.

Highly recommended for couples, families, or anyone wanting to enjoy authentic Greek cuisine by the sea!

We recently dined at Aroma & Gefsi, and it was fantastic! Manager Adri was super kind and attentive, and the entire staff was very friendly. I had the chicken a la creme, and my girlfriend had the mushroom risotto. Both were delicious. The Tzatziki and stuffed vine leaves appetizers were outstanding.

During our travels through Spain, Italy, and Greece, this was the best place we visited. Great prices, high-quality food, and incredible customer service. The beach view made it even better, and you can use the sun loungers on the beach to relax afterward. As someone in the restaurant industry, I couldn't be happier with our experience here.
