My stay at this hotel was a complete nightmare. I rented a room with a jacuzzi, but upon arrival, I discovered it wasn't working. Mrs. Frida, who initially seemed attentive, completely changed her attitude when we started questioning the faults and broken equipment. She even invented a 6 € fee that we had to pay in cash, which only made me more suspicious.
The night in the room was simply terrible. The bathroom didn't have a door on the shower, causing the entire floor to get wet. Additionally, a structure on the balcony made incessant noise due to the strong wind, preventing me from sleeping. The broken curtain allowed external light to flood the room, and the soundproofing was awful, letting in all the noise from the street, despite it being a quiet one.
The next morning, we confronted Mrs. Frida again and were served a lamentable breakfast with visibly old fruits and bread. We decided we couldn't bear another night in that place and requested to cancel the remaining nights and get a refund. However, they refused to return our money. We lost our money and, with it, our peace of mind for the rest of the trip.
My biggest regret was not taking more photos to document all these issues. I was so exhausted from not sleeping the previous night that I couldn't. This was, without a doubt, one of the worst experiences of my life, and I will never set foot in that...
Read moreOur bags were collected by Dimitri who carried them up the cobbled street to our hotel. We were welcomed by our beautiful hostess Frida. Our room was lovely and spacious and well appointed. Fridge, water tea and coffee machine, iron and board. Even a mirror to put on make up. Little details were great. The bed was comfy we had a double shower. Not like some hotels we had large fluffy bath towels. We had a small balcony with a great sun bed and a table and chairs. The rooms are around the back of the building, so you have to walk from your room around to the hotel for breakfast. Frida our hostess cooked us a different breakfast daily it was yummy. The hotel is situated about 2 min walk from car and buggy hire and all the restaurants and bars in the old town. There is a supermarket on the bottom road which sells everything. This is a small unique boutique hotel which is what we wanted and it surpassed all our needs. If we return to Fira we will definitely be staying at the Hotel Oasis. Our beautiful hostess Freda made it that much...
Read moreI am a woman traveling alone. I booked an airbnb but there were problems when I got there. I was wandering the streets at 10 at night looking for a hotel. Farida the owner found me and got me set up with a room. I didn't have much money because I had already paid for another place. She only had a suit but was kind enough to give it to me for the same price as the basic room. I have never met such a genuine and kind lady. She stopped by to see how I was getting to the airport. She didn't like my plan so she made other arrangements for me. The room was very clean and comfortable. The location is wonderful. A quick walk to the bus station. Seconds from restaurants and shops. But this is true for many places. The difference here is the service and being treated as family. I will never use another hotel in Santorini, Oasis is amazing! I plan on sending my family to Santorini in the spring, and they will be...
