Good time in advance we ordered an large apartment with double bed and an extra bunk bed. Mailed the hotel one day in advance with what boat we were arriving with so they could pick us up, but they never came. Had to pay another hotel to drive us from the port after waiting for quite some time. Upon arriving we were told they had not read their mail in some days, and then we were given an small room with twin beds and no space for extra bed. They told us they were over booked and nothing they could do. Had to argue for hours with the staff, but the man at the desk did not speak english that well, so we had to call their "Booking Manager" and spoke to her over the phone. She did not do anything or offer any solution, and were hostile from the very beginning. She was so rude we had to complain to Hotels.com. They immidiately contacted the hotel. The staff at the hotel had told them they were at the beach, so they had to call back, and then hung up. When trying to call the hotel again the staff had turned off their phone. Quite shocking to us, who by then at 10 in the evening did not have any solution or place were we all could sleep. Thankfully Hotels.com found the hotels treatment of us and them so poor that we and Hotels.com found another solution. Very satisfied with Hotels.com, not at all with Villa Markos... Feel a bit sorry for the poor owner who obviously had problems communicating due to his poor english, but he should fire or educate his...
Read moreI booked 2 rooms via booking.com at this property and one week before our arrival there, Villa Markos cancelled our reservation on the grounds that my card was "invalid" because they stated that their bank cannot process cards that are not in EUR and have other currencies. ||Taking into consideration that i've used this card to book hotels in many different countries (in Europe, Asia and USA even GREECE) i called my bank and asked if such a transaction can have issues or if the Villa tried to block the amount on my credit card. Their response was that it's no problem if my account is in a different currency and that no transaction was tried from Villa Markos! Every cross-border payment is converted in the currency you pay in with no regards to what currency you have! Even europe.eu states this!! ||This is a huge FRAUD on behalf VILLA MARKOS' !!!||They wanted to cancel our booking because the price went up 300 EUR from that moment so if i wanted to re-book the rooms it was way more expensive. ||I tried calling them and explaining how banks work but with no luck, when i asked to talk to the manager they said that he will contact me soon because he is out of office (No such thing ever happened) and booking.com can't do anything about this issue.||||DO NOT BOOK THERE!! ||You will risk ruining your vacation one week before going there as it...

I called the property, I said that I can provide another card if this one is not ok for them, they told me that they sent me an email a day before the cancellation that they are going to cancel if I don't provide another card (this didn't happen, I received no working from them). Again, I insisted that you can't cancel my trip a couple of days before as I have been planning it for months and then they asked me to provide full details of my other card via an sms message. I told them that I can't do that and if they were in my position, a stranger asking for the full details of the credit card, would they provide them? The lady said yes and I said no, therefore she said that my booking will remain canceled.
