We ate here on our 1st, 4th, and 5th night as we enjoyed our 1st experience and liked the food.
Each time, we were seated promptly and given time to peruse the menu, with the waiter coming over to ask us if we'd like drinks whilst we chose what we wanted.
The menu is extensive and reasonably priced, especially for Santorini.
The first night, we ate late, and they were very busy, but we didn't feel like we had waited too long for anything. The staff are pleasant enough, and do the job well, but too busy to be chatty.
We had lamb chops and chicken in a creamy mushroom sauce (chicken a la creme). Both came with rice and chips, but no side salad or veggies, which was a bit disappointing. I'd rather have a choice of 1 carb and some salad or veg, but it does seem to be the same in every restaurant we've tried, so maybe it's just how it is here.
We sat outside on the beach side, and they've got decking here, so it's comfortable.
The lamb was well cooked and very soft, but I prefer the fat to be more rendered than it was. My husband really enjoyed his dish, and the chicken was still moist. Prices were fair, and we paid €40 for 2 mains, 1.5l of water and a 0.5l carafe of red wine.
The second time, it was still very busy, even though we went much earlier, and this time, we sat inside the main restaurant, which was quieter.
Again, we were given time to look at the menu, and we ordered the chicken soulvaki and the stuffed squid, alongside feta wrapped in filo with honey and 2 cocktails, which came to €65.90.
The chicken was moist, and although I was disappointed there was hardly any salad (despite showing some in the picture), the rest still tasted good. The stuffed calamari was very tender and filled with feta and tomato. My husband said it was delicious.
On our 3rd visit, the football was on, which I'd prefer not to listen to, but the waiters were still attentive and we had the feta in filo (again) as well as grilled halloumi and the chicken gyros.
The halloumi was lovely and a very generous portion for a starter. The gyros was lovely, too.
The cocktails here are the best we've had on Santorini, and we've tried at least 6 different places.
We'd definitely recommend it and...

During my recent visit to Perissa, I had the immense pleasure of dining at the Acropolis Restaurant, and let me say, it was an experience that surpassed all expectations! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with the warmest of welcomes by the lovely Romanian staff, who made us feel right at home with their friendly smiles and exceptional service.
The food, oh, the food! It was absolutely amazing, a true delight to the senses. The menu boasted a wonderful selection of dishes, each prepared to perfection and bursting with flavors that left us eagerly anticipating our next bite. I can confidently say that it’s some of the best food I've enjoyed in a long time.
But what truly sets Acropolis Restaurant apart is the wonderful array of amenities that accompany your meal. With every delicious dining experience, guests are treated to complimentary beach beds, allowing for a seamless transition from a delightful meal to relaxing under the sun on the beautiful beach. It’s the perfect way to spend a day!
Adding to the allure is the availability of an on-site massage therapist. The massage services are not only reasonably priced but are of such high quality that you'll find yourself melting under the skillful touch of the therapist. It's the ultimate way to unwind and rejuvenate, enhancing the already wonderful atmosphere of the restaurant and beach.
I wholeheartedly recommend Acropolis Restaurant to anyone visiting Perissa. Between the good food, inviting beach, and exceptional massage, it’s a trifecta of enjoyment that truly has something for everyone. My experience was nothing short of spectacular, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit. A 100% recommendation for anyone wanting to make the most of their...
Read moreI posted my experience on Trip advisor and the managers were rude and claimed it wasn’t their restaurant. However this proves that they are not willing to accept the disgusting behaviour of their staff.
ACROPOLIS RESTAURANT on Perissa Beach. We opted to sit in the restaurant’s beach area as the guys outside were quite humorous and friendly.
The beach area was clean and the cocktails were a 10/10.
Unfortunately, when we sat down for lunch, no one was coming over to take our orders. When we asked a waiter if we could order and he said yes but no one came back to our table. I caught the eye of a female waitress and waved at her to get her attention. (Note: I did not shout, scream, swear, stand in her personal space nor was the wave outstretched)
She came over to our table and was very abrupt “what would you like to eat?” She then stated that she did not appreciate me being aggressive towards her. When I asked her how was I aggressive she stated by waving my hands I was being “aggressive”. I’m not sure if the meaning for aggressive is different in Greece, but she definitely did not want to serve two young black women.
At this point her attitude was disgusting and we decided to leave.
We did report her behaviour to the managers who offered us their apologies and complimentary drinks.
However it is just not acceptable to go into a restaurant and be made to feel uncomfortable because of a persons illiterate mindset and negative...
