Paros and Grozos Rooms were the second part to our Greek Island hopping holiday. We arrived by ferry from Santorini and Thanasis had offered to pick us up from the port but we had decided to walk to the Rooms. It took us about 15/20 mins to walk as we did get a little lost !! |The rooms were down a little street but only about 2 mins from the beach. The room consisted of a double and single bed, fridge, kettle, cups, wardrobe, table and bathroom. The shower was a hand held shower but didn't bother us at all. The air con was free but there was no security box. We also had a little table and chairs outside the room which you could sit and have breakfast. But there was no shade so it did get very hot. The place was clean and towels changed daily. There are probably only about 7/8 rooms here. No pool. |Thanasis was extremely helpful and provided us with a map and suggested some places of interest around the island. |The walk into Parikia is about 10 mins along the port. With plenty of restaurants and bars to chose from. |We went up to Naoussa by bus. It took an out 15/20 mins and cost about €6 each return. There are museums and a lovely little beach opposite where we stayed. We would...
Read moreIf you’re looking for a comfortable place to stay near the port in Paros within a reasonable budget, this is the place. The owner Thanasis went above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable stay. He provided all the basic amenities (i.e., mini fridge, kettle, coffee maker, safe, shampoo and shower gel, etc.). He even provided water upon check in and stayed late at reception because our ferry came in later than expected. He gave us his number and responded within minutes when we would text him for assistance or general questions. He even gave us a map of Paros and sat us down to get us orientated to the island and gave us his local recommendations. Both of the restaurants he recommended that were walking distance to the hotel were fabulous. The rooms are compact but not disappointing whatsoever. The balcony is so cute! We enjoyed some pre dinner wine on our balcony every night. I would recommend Grozos to anyone who wants to base themselves near the port rather than Naoussa (where you will be paying an arm and a leg). Thanasis works day and night to make everyone’s experience at Grozos Rooms a spectacular one, I highly recommend...
Read morespent two days at Grozos Rooms and I can’t recommend it enough. The location is perfect, just a few steps from the beautiful Livadia beach and a short walk from the charming town of Parikia. The rooms are cozy, clean, and well-equipped, with a lovely balcony overlooking the sea or the garden. The staff are very friendly and helpful, especially Thanasis, the host, who went out of his way to make me feel welcome and comfortable. He gave me great tips on where to eat, what to see, and how to get around the island. He also provided free coffee and a shaded seating area in the courtyard, where I enjoyed relaxing and chatting with other guests. Grozos Rooms is a family-run business that offers excellent value for money and a warm hospitality. I can’t wait to come back and stay here again. Thank you, Thanasis, for making my stay...
