Don’t bother coming here. My family and I are from Australia and we’ve come to Europe on holiday. We’re currently staying in Paros and have absolutely loved Greece so far. Unfortunately the owner of this restaurant has given us our worst experience in this beautiful country. From the start of our service he was extremely arrogant, having to be reminded twice that we didn’t have our menus (we had to wait about 15 or so minutes for them) and was cold and rude when he was taking the order. We were at the restaurant a bit earlier than 9pm and 45mins after ordering three kleftiko mains, we were told that they had ran out. We then ordered 3 lamb stews which came at 11pm. Whenever we asked how much longer the food was going to take we were always told ‘it’s coming now’. As soon as we were about to leave because of the wait, they brought the dishes. We barely ate them because of our frustration and we went to the counter to ask for some sort of compensation for the wait. They had given a discount to the group before us for the same issue but the owner refused to do the same for us as he was ‘too busy’. I’m not sure what he was busy with as there were only about 5 tables that were full but he was extremely rude and horrible to talk to. The sarcastic smile he constantly gave us still haunts my mind. I feel sorry for the chefs and other staff of this restaurant because the owner completely ruined our night because of his horrible personality. €152 absolutely wasted.
Edit: I am astonished with the response from the owner, again showing his disrespect. If you look at the reviews on TripAdvisor it’s not hard to see the bad reviews made about the owner in particular. We didn’t want a ‘generous’ discount, we just wanted compensation and better communication throughout the night rather than ‘it’s coming’ every 10 minutes. It’s disgusting that you are referring to us as ‘extortioners’. In Melbourne Australia we have plenty of Greek friends and we’re actually from Italy ourselves. We never would imagine to call people visiting our country extortioners. We weren’t the only ones with complaints, the table next to us were just as upset and spoke to us personally about it. And for you to say we ‘did the same in the hotel where you are staying from what I was informed’. That is not the case as the owners of the accommodation we are staying at have actually told us to stay with them next time we come and that we can all have dinner out together. Every other restaurant we have been to in Paros have had lovely service. They’ve been amazing people and we’ve made beautiful memories with them. Your food was good yes, but your attitude, which you’ve proved with your response, made the...
Read moreMe and my wife went there for dinner. We had reserved a table for two but when we reached there we were given a table where we were sharing it with another couple. It took them ages to come and take order from us. After placing order it took some time but we were fine. We ordered one stuffed mushroom and one spaghetti Napolitana. But instead of Spaghetti he got us Penne. When we told them we wanted spaghetti and not penne the reply was sorry we don't have any and told us to leave the table and get out of restaurant leaving our food in between. It was very rude. We took a call and instead of making a scene decided to go out to some other restaurant. Then once we were leaving the manager came showing us way out telling us to hurry and leave hurry and leave. It just added on to the very bad experience. Very humiliating and rude. It was a Sunday evening. I understand they were busy but the way they behaved is not acceptable. Specially the manager who was the main guy. Even the waiter were not behaving properly and were rude. And yes I don't want a reply on this review from management because leave about having food at your place I don't even wanna see your reply. Very rude. Like pushing us away. We just came there to have food. We had many other restaurants in our list. Your not the only one. I hate Paros for you and I will never ever come back to this city and this place...
Read moreThere was an Ephesus business card in the reception area of the hotel I was staying in, so I decided to go for dinner one evening while staying in Paros. I arrived around 5pm on the Weds evening. I asked the woman who was sitting inside if I could sit in the area outside (not across the road at the water front) she gestured but didn't speak (the only rudeness I experienced in 2 weeks on the island)
After 25 mins a waiter brought a menu and I asked for a bottle of still water which he returned with. After 30 further minutes, the same waiter had passed by me numerous times while attending to customers seated across the road and didn't return to me to take my order. After waiting 55 mins I left the unopened water on the table and walked to Cava Dora next door where I was met with a warm welcome and lovely food.
The service in Ephesus was non existent, the restaurant had in total 6 other diners. There were 2 waiters and the woman in the internal area so they were not under pressure. Maybe they don't like solo...
