We stayed at this hotel during our holiday in Greece over the month of July for 5 nights. We had 2 suites as it was 6 of us. The first impression when you arrive somewhere is very important and our experience when we got there was very disappointing to say the least. With us we had our elderly parents and our 2 kids. You would consider when you own a hotel like hotel Papadakis that has so many steps that on arrival you would organise someone fit to come and help with the suitcases. Simos the receptionist, when we got to the hotel not only he didn't welcome us with a smile but he was very arrogant. He didn't really want to help us with our suitcases and we had to argue as our elderly parents couldn't lift the suitcases and our 75 year old dad had a broken toe as well. For these reasons we had to argue with the receptionist. So receptionist and irresponsible hotel ruined our arrival. At the end receptionist did bring one up. I understand he had issues with his knees as he said, but you would expect that the hotel would have someone else for this job. So first impression was not pleasant. Therefore we never saw any hint of hospitality. The rooms were nice but many times we had ants and we had to call them to come and spray. The cleaning ladies were really nice and the only ones they always had a big smile in their faces which was lovely. Not sure if owner cares about the negative feedback but they definitely need to educate their staff especially the first person that greets the guests which it's the receptionist. Breakfast was ok, but again the lady that was organising the breakfast, she could have been a bit more pleasant as she always looked moody and we never saw her smile either. We knew about the amount of steps they were roughly 70 but we were unaware how steep it's to get to the hotel. Very dangerous and not suitable for elderly or young kids. Also you have to make sure you lock your balcony windows as it has easy access to people from the outside as there is no fence around for safety. The location is great if you are young and fit as it's only a few minutes down the steep hill from the centre which is beautiful. It's a pity our much anticipated accommodation was not pleasant and not at our standards. It's impressive how many people have written similar issues about the hospitality of this hotel. Let's hope they can only learn and get better....
Read moreParos alone is a fantastic island, I was in awe of Greece! Hotel Papadakis is very nice, we had one the renovated rooms and i really like the vibe, loved having the balcony with the views. Hotel staff was very friendly, welcoming and patient with all our questions. ||Some nit picking things, although i loved the simplistic vibe of the room, the bathroom needs some towel hooks and I loved the large shower with rain head, if you dont angel it toward the corner it does make the floor all wet and slippery. Also it would be nice when a family checks in for multiple days if housekeeping replaced the toiletries we ran out after day 2.||The breakfast was delicious and the room was so charming with large windows and view. I miss my greek yogurt and fruit! ||If you are considering Hotel Papadakis the one thing i didn't realize is the hills and steps. Our room was on the highest level and there was like 60+ steps to get to the room and two hills to hike up!!! But the views made up for it and having that chocolate croissant at breakfast or gelato at night made me feel I burned the calories! ||Awesome stay!! LOVED Paros! ||We also renting a car and drove the island, super easy and there is a side dirt lot you can park the car at the hotel fits...
