Without a doubt, this is the BEST place to stay on Kefalonia. I stayed in Villa Eutixia (pronounced “Ef-ta-he-a”, aptly translates as “happiness”) and it was perfect for me as a solo traveler (or a couple). The view is utterly majestic and the quaint, colorful, picturesque town of Asos is within walking distance. The hike to Asos Castle (ruins of an old Italian Fortress) is absolutely glorious and a great way to burn off all the Feta cheese you’ll be eating. Speaking of which, there are 3 restaurants in town, but the only one you should eat at is Platanos - trust me, their food is delicious and while the other restaurants may have better views, their food is inedible. And because the views from the villa are so spectacular, I recommend ordering “take away” lunch/dinner from Platanos and eating at the villa - it’s perfection! For first time travelers to the area (and tall people), here is some info you may find helpful: 1) showers have a tall rain shower head (I’m 182cm/6’ tall and fit fine), as well as a handheld 2) WiFi and cellular signals are strong 3) washer on premises (dials are in Greek, so you may want to ask for directions if you plan to use it), and drying rack outside (it’s hot and clothes usually dry within an hour) 4) driving and parking is rather precarious to say the least, so make sure to rent a very small vehicle (preferably an automatic), because the hills are extremely steep, roads are extremely narrow and not all of them are paved, and there are GOATS, literally, everywhere 5) you cannot drink the water or flush paper down the toilet, and while they did provide two bottles of water upon my arrival, I would suggest the property manager provide at least 7 bottles of water for a 7 night stay 6) for people over 5’9” (179cm) interested in staying at Villa Eutixia, while the showers may be tall enough, the bedroom (and toilet) is a loft-like layout with slanted ceiling that is quite low and you will need to “duck” to avoid hitting your head - slight inconvenience, but not a big deal unless you’re 6’2”+ Last but not least, make sure to visit Acqua Alaties beach - I’m fairly certain it’s heaven on earth, and the “Aqua” Salad (Quinoa-Cabbage-Arugula-Goat Cheese) at the beach restaurant is to die for! Enjoy!

The best villas on the island, by far. In a superb position with breathtaking views and superb service from start to finish. Take a look at their website at some of the stunning views and villas. Thanks to Katerina for taking care of all the arrangement. A truly professional setup.

Stayed in Villa Prikonos as a couple but there's plenty of room for four. It was absolutely lovely, setting is superb. I did a walkthrough video for the family, it made them laugh and they demanded I post it as a review :)

This is our sixth stay here, so thought it was about time I submitted a review of these stunning villas in the beautiful village of Assos.|We are working our way through all the villas! Our first was Prikonas with our then 2 teenage kids. Beautiful 2 bedroom villa with stunning views! The following year we stayed in Akrogiali. This time we brought my parents as well so there were six of us. The villa was spacious inside and out, plenty big enough for us all. Again beautiful with stunning Views of the Harbour! The following year we stayed at the highest villa called Agapi. ( I think this is my favourite)! This is a two bedroom villa with incredible panoramic views of the sea, harbour and also the village. We have Stayed here twice. We have just come back from our second stay at Eleni. It has an infinity pool overlooking the harbour. You have to pinch yourself just to remind you that you are not dreaming looking at the views! We were joined by our kids, (now in their late twenty’s)!and partners. We have already been told by them that we have to return next year and indeed every year! (maybe one year they will treat us?)||Many thanks to Katerina and the amazing team, especially Corina, the amazing housekeeper who has been looking after us most years. We now consider her to be a friend.||The only drawback staying here is that you never want to leave to explore this beautiful island and if you do, you can’t wait...

As a family of 5 (including both younger & teenage children), we stayed in villa Akrogiali for a fortnight and were absolutely delighted. ||As other people have said, the views from these villas were breathtaking, we spent plenty of time just gazing out to sea or admiring the passing sailing boats. ||The staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful - the pool, outside area and of course villa itself were all cleaned on a daily basis. ||Everything in the villa was in great condition, everything worked, we even had reasonable wifi (not that we needed it) and the outside area was great - every meal was eaten outdoors and on a hot day we had the shade of a day bed to keep cool when not in the ample pool. ||Assos itself has a few reasonably well stocked shops including the local bakery which we frequented almost daily for fresh bread and delicious treats, the other shops also stocked meat, veg, fruit etc - we only shopped elsewhere a couple of times in 2 weeks. | There are also a good selection of restaurants and the cheeky monkeys food hut that serve delicious Souvlaki wraps. ||We would highly recommend these villas and I am sure we will...
