Hotel Kostis — Hotel in Skiathos Municipality

My boyfriend and I stayed at the beginning of September here in a room at the first floor with street view (we chose it). The location of this family run hotel is perfect, in the centre of the beautiful Skiathos Town, near restaurants, shops, small markets. We enjoyed in the morning and in the evening people walking under our balcony and the sound of coffee machines from the coffee shop near the hotel. When we wanted peace and quiet the balcony doors could stop all the noise on the street and the a/c would chill the air for our "soon to be tanned" skin :)||The owners of this small, beautiful hotel were welcoming, so friendly and kind... we honestly felt like home (our second home away from home).||The room was pretty spatious, the furniture in a good condition, the bathroom pretty big, hot water everyday. The room was cleaned everyday, towels changed almost daily, bed sheets changed regularly. The breakfast was very good, with the possibility of ordering omelette/grilled sandwich/greek yoghurt with jam and biscuits.||Everything was perfect! We have just returned from a last minute stay here. We booked it because it was not expensive and we were intrigued by the idea of having breakfast on a couple of days as we don't usually bother.|The hotel was way better than we had any right to expect. I would recommend it to anyone.|The room was not massive (though the beds were), it was however spotlessly clean. the wifi was excellent as was the aircon. Towels changed daily and the bed linen every other day.|Our room was at the front but noise was never an issue, once the doors were closed it was so quiet. It was great being so central, the centre Papadiamontis Street was 2 minutes stroll, beach about 10 minutes, port a little less.|Breakfast was a revalation, freshly prepared omelette or ham and chees toastie if you wanted it, endless coffee, juice, cereals, and a good selection of bread as well as ham and cheese. Just make sure you save room for the doughnuts!|If all of this sounds good, add in the fact that the staff are so nice and hardworking, nothing seemed any trouble.||This was our first visit to Hotel Kostis. Good points:|Cental location, close to everything|Clean basic rooms, with Air-con, Fridge, TV|Quite modern bathroom with good powerful shower|Hotel owner very nice and approachable|Kettle & cups in room||Not so good points:|Noise issues, of our 7 nights 4 nights we hd noise from surrounding rooms and balconies intil 5am. Did inform the owner but seems like this is more of an Hostel than an Hotel where people tend to say 1-2 nights maximum. Every small nosie can be heard.|Cups had not been cleaned, tea/coffee never replenished.
