Antama Meze — Restaurant in Skiathos Municipality

Staff treats clients with disrespect (hostess aside) me and my mom had to leave for how much they made us feel uncomfortable. My mom misunderstood the waiter and apologised for that, and he gone speak about us to a table next to us, such an unprofessional behaviour! The manager didn’t even care to listen to what happened when we spoke to him he interrupted us at half sentences asking: “do you want to leave? Bye!” To a woman on her 50s the level of disrespect was unbelievable ! She just literally misunderstood table but as soon as told her wasn’t that her table she turned and apologised following the waiter for our table! We never expected it to be a reason for being treated this way. We arrived that day in the Island and got so sad straight away because of them and a little scared thinking maybe everyone was like that? Fortunately not! Visit date 01/07/2024. Wrote the review now because I thought I sent it before but checking I didn’t. We had the most amazing dinner at Antama Meze - it was absolutely no question the best food we had during our 3 weeks stay in Greece! - everything was cooked in the oven with love - amazing fish, tasty orzo with mushrooms and cheese and aubergine rolls - mmmm - all very delicious. We were a party of nine (from Australia and the UK) and sat outside at a lovely table with gorgeous hanging lights overhead - it was Picture perfect! The staff were friendly and it was great to meet the Head chef too - he should be so proud of the food coming out of that kitchen!!! The menu attracted us and was lucky to get a table outside, we ordered bread/olives and dip as an appetiser, the olives were lovely but the dip was basically a tomato paste disappointing. The main course of Pork in Honey and Beer was lovely the meat so tender, and made the visit. Unfortunately it was spoilt by the fact that they were so busy that we were forgotten about afterwards, and despite having a queue didn't bother to clear table to free it up to the point that we struggled to get the bill to pay and leave.
