I am not normally one to ever complain but the experience I had here was utterly awful. I arrived to the hotel I had pre-booked and yes pre-paid for to find a very simple and basic hotel room which was what I was expecting due to the pictures and previous reviews on booking.com. I arrived and my hotel room was already open, both front and back doors with the key inside already (understandably a self check in style hotel, but with very limited safety precautions). On arrival I called the staff member who I had previously been in contact with to find out how to gain access and what room to go to - to which I was I initially met with a very pleasant lady, until later that day. I have been told my room number and gone into the room, as said previously to find a very basic and standard hotel room. I have had a look around after checking no one was in there that shouldn’t have been due to the initial insecurity and found that the bathroom floor was soaking wet (not sure if from a leak or previously been mopped, but it will still soaking wet). Then I have gone to close the balcony door in order to change after a day of travelling and a part from the lock on the door has broken and fallen on the floor. There was two sliding doors the first glass door and a sliding shutter, the inside door did not lock at all as it had clearly been damaged previously and the locks didn’t align, the shutter door locked (just about) but it still meant the property wasn’t fully secure because all it would take is someone to push the door and it would open. This was one of my main problems. As a solo female traveller I did not feel safe AT ALL in that room due to the lack of security. The walls were all broken and the kitchenette was interesting to say the least. Half of the handles of the cupboard were missing and the plastering around the kitchen was all chipped and rugged looking not giving a looked after type of hotel. Back to being a solo traveller I did not feel safe in this hotel whatsoever, so I have tried to rearrange other sleeping arrangements due to the fact I was not happy to stay there at all. I have travelled alone previously and never had an issue like this. I have called the hotel manager and explained my issues and requested a refund, although I know it’s not normally accepted however over the phone she did give me hope that a refund would be possible however she told me to WhatsApp the issues with photos…which I proceeded to do, re-explaining the issues mentioned previously. The owner has then replied seeming confused as to what the problem was, then decided to threaten to call the police on me for ‘breaking the lock’ which I certainly DID NOT do. She then proceeded to complain to me for messaging her in the evening at 8pm even though they offer 24/7 assistance. I decided I didn’t wish to stay at this hotel due to the lack of safety and the way I had been spoken to by the manager, so before all of these messages when I spoke to her on the phone she seemed willing to give me a refund then completely turned. Due to the way I have been spoken to and the complete lack of care and hospitality skills I am still very adamant to receive a full refund. I did not stay in this hotel for more than 30 minutes all together. I think it’s completely unacceptable to speak to people this way especially when they are paying for a service and at least a little bit of respect have been massively...
Read moreWe spent three nights there and this is what we found:||||- we arrived at 8 to Laganas and we had to wait in the swimming pool without knowing if we would ever be recieved since there is no reception. I had previously written the owner but she didn't reply.||- a friendly housekeeper arrived and she told us that our room had only two beds ( we had booked 3); she made an extra bed for us. ||- the extra bed was one for a kid but it was terribly uncomfortable so we asked for another one.||- the sink was blocked and we had to ask for it to be fixed.||- impolite and drunk young ladies came every night screaming and since it is an aparthotel no one could stop their noise. ||+ there is a small kitchen in the room so you can eat in the terrace||Laganas is the Greek version of Magaluf or Lloret; the strip is the typical place designed for British tourists looking for party; so be prepared for out of control drunk people.||Not recommended for families, couples or...
