We stayed at Posada de la Luna March 9-16, just as the Covid pandemic was coming to full bloom. Besides providing us with a lovely, clean, restful place to stay (we were in the suite at the back of the ground floor), the staff never stopped giving us superb service. The breakfasts were delicious, whether we chose to stay in our room or eat on the beautiful small patio/reception area. Some people have commented on the distance from town. It hotel is only one long block from one of the main streets of town (where the bus depot is) and about 5 blocks from the heart of town. We are older and have a few mobility issues, so we found walking on the very narrow sidewalks and/or the cobbled streets somewhat difficult. but, if we were too tired, Uber or the omnipresent tuk tuks could easily take us downtown (Parc Central) for $2. We highly recommend staying at Posade de la Luna to avoid the downtown noise, and because of the gracious...
Read moreMy husband and I came to Antigua, Guatemala from Canada and our stay at this hotel was excellent from start to finish. We did not do any pre- booking and we’re still able to find a room on a raining night. The staff were welcoming, professional, and always willing to help. The room was spotless, smelling good, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. One of the highlights for me was how safe and secure the hotel felt, which gave me complete peace of mind. The location was also convenient, close to attractions and restaurants. The staff spoke English and would clean our room everyday. This place also had breakfast included and parking so we did not have to pay for public parking. Also, they have on-site laundry service and delivered our clothes on time as promised. Overall, a fantastic experience—I would definitely stay again and recommend it to others. We originally booked it for 2 days and ended up extending for...
Read moreWe had an extremely pleasant stay at Hotel Posada de la Luna. We stayed for 8 days and the hotel is at a great location in Antigua, not on the main road where you would hear the noise from all the traffic but rather it is tucked in a quieter street but still close to everything in Antigua. The staff, Mindy, Ivana, Rafael and Silvia, were AMAZING. They all exceeded our expectations. Breakfast included with our stay was DELICIOUS every morning and filling, with plenty of options to choose from. The rooms were so comfy and pretty with nice views of the mountains. The staff kept in contact with you via WhatsApp and were very prompt in responding back with any questions I had. They even offer laundry service for a decent price. I can't stop gushing about how kind, friendly, helpful and hospitable everyone was at Posada de la Luna. We highly recommend this hotel and we will definitely...
