This place has good pizza and a wide variety to offer for all tastes and maybe great desserts (don't know cause couldn't get one). The view and atmosphere are great to hang around and relax. We ordered some bread sticks with cheese, which were really good cause they made them with blue cheese mixed in and with pizza dough. We had 2 types of pizza, the Chipotle and Torera. The Chipotle was delicious and the Torera when they brought it had onions, which was not stated on the description but we kept it and I will tell you why. We had made reservations for 2 tables one for 4 people and the other for 11. We got there at 2pm for the table of 4 and the table for 11 was actually taken, we had to tell the waiter that was our table too, so they could inform the other guests to move. We order at 2:30pm our food and received it at 4pm....we waited for an hour and half for the our food to be delivered. When I questioned the waiter why so long the wait, he said they had to fill and order of 10 pizzas before us so we basically were in "line"..... I get it that they were to go the other pizzas, but an hour and a half wait it's RIDICULOUS! Then we try ordering dessert, I specially asked the guy "is it already prepared just to take out of the fridge?" (it was a jar cheesecake) he said yes. So we ask for the check at the same time to try and expedite things along. And what do they do, they bring the check charging the dessert they hadn't even brought out, when I asked him" hey so what happened with the dessert he is like it's coming". I said can you check please cause I don't want to wait another hour, he checks and 20mins had gone by then and he said no we haven't done anything with it..... So I just said take it off the check I don't want to wait another hour for it..... There were only 2 waiters we saw but never have I ever been in a place where the service was this slow no matter the excuse! The food was great but the waiting time trumped it and even crushed their quality and flavors..... I get it, it's artisanal but not worth and hour and half wait for other others..... I don't know if it was us the unckly ones but yeah not...
Read moreGreat service and awesome location. I was also impressed by the oven they’re using. However the pizza was pretty underwhelming. I know my expectations in Guatemala can’t be too high and I’ve gone to some of the best pizzerias in the world (Naples, NYC, New Haven) but the flour they’re using isn’t close to being on par. The toppings were great but the crust of the pizza was thin and somehow doughy. There was no crisp and the slices flopped over due to it. There was also no leoparding on the bottom and it was completely white and pasty.
I think adding some cornmeal or changing the flour being used would make a huge difference. I hate to tarnish a small business but these are recommendations that I think would make a huge impact on quality and the experience for someone who might hold higher expectations for...
Read moreThe terrace was great. It has a splendid view of the ruins. We have been on the search for a really good pizza since moving here. We have found just okay thus far. I read the reviews so I decided to take my 3 children who are pizza experts. My smallest child said she was not eating anymore of the pizza because it was awful. I agreed and only ate it because I was hungry. The other two said it was diagusting as well.I hope someone figures out how to make really good pizza there because it is a shame to have such a beautiful view with horrible food. When I walked out a complete stranger asked me how the food was and I gave them my opinion. They agreed that the food is not good as well. Not just me... They gave me a suggestion for an awesome pizza place. I am wondering who is writing all these reviews...
