I am so sad to be writing a bad review for this place as my partner and I were SO excited to come here, had walked past for several days and decided to treat ourself for our last night in Antigua…. Sadly this was such a disappointment:( we both had ramen and shared the salmon sushi rolls and the meat gyoza. The sushi was not great, quite starchy and not a lot of filling apart from rice. Gyoza was okay, probably the best thing we ate but still just not a huge amount of flavour. The ramen was not good… the broth had a strange medical flavour. I literally never leave food but neither of us could eat it, we ate less than 1/4 each. It was such a shame because everything looked nice but the quality didn’t match at all. We spoke to the waiter about it who was open to constructive criticism, but didn’t take it off our bill. I feel the least they could’ve done was give us the gyozas on the house but we ended up paying Q248 for a meal we didn’t each much of. It’s expensive and sadly would not recommend 😢 I can’t speak for other items on the menu, I hope they’re better and others have a...
Read moreMost of the food we ordered was tasty, and we would order again. The sushi was not served particularly fresh or cold which is what we are used to in the USA. But it still hit the spot. Why not keep some plates in the fridge so they're cold when plated? The katsu pork dish was not attractive nor very tasty. The pork was over cooked and rubbery. The whole plate was dry and needed sauce and veggies. The ramen and the chicken teriyaki bowl were both very tasty. But the chicken wasn't served with any veggies, just rice and chicken. The sake was extremely expensive - a tiny portion for 40 Q. We complained and had one of the portions removed from our bill. They are serving sake from California for which we pay 52 Q, or $6.79 per bottle at the supermarket in the USA. I like this sake, but it is not worth 40 Q for a tiny portion. We had better luck at other Japanese...
Read morePassed this place hundreds of times on my way to the Bodegona. Finally my gf and I decided to stop in and eat dinner. What a wonderful experience! I had the tonkotsu ramen and my gf had the torikaraage. We shared an order of gyosas to start. Everything was so delicious. I spent a month traveling Japan a few years ago and this ramen rivaled any of those I had there. The broth was so delicious. This made me want to come back during the day and try the coffee. I did that today, and again was pleased. What a delicious cortado and reasonably priced at Q19. The service both times was excellent and friendly. The atmosphere is laid back and comfortable. Will definitely be returning to try more...
