Casa Azul — Hotel in Sololá

We enjoyed our stay here - it's very basic in terms of rooms but this adds to the feel. big windows onto an interrupted to the lake. don't expect mad comforts, but there is hot water on demand (albeit with a bit of tinkering), there is a drinking water, a fridge and simple kitchen. The family took to the street and hailed and negotiated a tuk-tuk driver for us when we left. The wifi is respectable - and streaming is possible with a bit of patience. Very dissapointing. I arrived at dark, had to wait for the manager for 30 minutes (who didn't even arrive). Then they told me that my room was canceled and I could not stay there, even though I had a reservation for four nights. I hate to give a bad review since the family seems very nice and the view is beautiful but the bedding was very dirty and there were bed bugs in it. When I lifted the pillow there were tons of nymphs underneath it, plain to see. I asked for a clean sheet so I could try to sleep outside on the hammock for the night and was given a sheet that smelled strongly of dust. Not a good...
