Holy cow, as a boy who lives in Keller, I gotta give 5 stars to a fellow Texan in Roatan. The biscuit was so nice and the perfect amount of pop… the gravy was amazing. But when the cinnamon rolls came out, oh my, my heart may have skipped a beat… just look at that photo. Too bad you can only see and not taste. Your trip to roatan isn’t a trip if you don’t stop here. I visit roatan about 3-4 times a year, and i stay in another part of the island but this time I said I’m staying in west end one night just to come here, bc I heard about the biscuits and gravy. Sat AM was packed, staff was running like crazy. I had to wait 15 minutes for a table, and another 22 minutes for fresh cinnamon rolls. It’s worth the wait, just be patient stand at the door and wait your turn, but put your order in early for cinnamon rolls. If you are a Texan this will take you home, if you aren’t from Texas you come taste this and you will be wanting to stop in the lone star state on your way home.

There are only a few things in life that stress me out: The Jazz getting ready to trade Donovan Mitchell, having to leave Orem Utah for any occasion, and hoping that my favorite taco shop on State Street doesn’t change their hours. All these worries went to the wayside when I took my first bite of The CBR sandwich from Sandy Buns Looking back, in retrospect, the establishment sold more than just delicious sandwiches. They sold an experience. The sweet potato fries with smoked tendered brisket paired with a beautiful ocean view brought tears to my eyes. For context, the last time I cried was when the San Diego Chargers move to Los Angeles. I haven’t watch NFL football since. Anyhow, the Cortes and company went everyday for 4 days straight and we were able to try the whole menu. Do yourself a favor and empty your bank account here.

Sandy Buns Bakery is my favorite place for breakfast in the West End. On the first day there I ordered a half order of jalapeno cheddar biscuits topped with sausage gravy. I added a side of brisket to go on top and two over easy eggs! Simply outstanding! Biscuits were homemade and so was the gravy. The brisket was just delightful and the portions were plenty. Tim and his wife have something special there. They cater their bread to fifty of the resorts across the island. It is cash only. They will gladly give you change back either in US dollars or limperia. The staff was exceptional and were very attentive. Save yourself some heartache, time and money. Just eat here! P.S. YOU MUST TRY THE CINNAMON ROLL!!! Breakfast burrito was just my style as well. I hope to eat here again someday.

Wow. Unfortunately I didn't eat here until the last couple days of my trip. Fortunately, I found this amazing place the last couple days of my trip.

Value is amazing, flavors are on point, and southern hospitality is present. Classic Southern fare with some creative and delicious twists to bring it up a notch. Had a delicious breakfast burrito, smothered in sausage gravy and queso, as my first introduction. It was massive, did I mention the value for money? So many places in West end give you less for more, Sandy Buns is the opposite.

My last evening i had the pleasure of enjoying their BBQ night, think it's a high season thing and this was the first of the 2025 session. I've had American "BBQ" all over Latin America. I went in with neutral expectations as what I've experienced before outside the US was good but not mind blowing.

Enter Sandy Buns. I knew as soon as I saw the details like a big fluffy piece of homemade white bread, pickles, and onions this was going to be a treat. Ordered the 3 meat with two sides and it was fantastic. Elote style Street corn and the jalapeno Mac were my side choices and they were so good. Meat was tender and flavorful, the house BBQ brought it home.

I couldn't recommend this place more. A gem in the West end rough. Skip the rest and go to the best. Thanks for the...

The Best Cinnamon Rolls I Have Ever Eaten, Period. Sandy Buns Bakery in Roatan is an absolute must-visit for breakfast. If you're anywhere near West End, you have to stop here. It's not just a recommendation, it's a requirement.

The cinnamon rolls are, without a doubt, the best I have EVER had. They are served warm, perfectly gooey, and topped with the most delicious frosting. I'm not a person who exaggerates, but these are a life-changing culinary experience. I will travel back to Roatan just for one of these rolls.

For a savory breakfast, the Texas Benedict was also awesome. The rich flavors and perfect presentation made for a fantastic meal. It's clear that everything on the menu is made with care and passion.

Beyond the food, the service makes this place truly special. Our server, Dave, was fantastic, and the owners, Tim and Chantel, were so welcoming and friendly. They made us feel right at home.

If you love incredible food and warm, friendly service, make Sandy Buns Bakery your first stop. I can't...
