Great location in the heart of Budapest. Rooms were large, spacious, and comfortable and very clean. The Positives The hotel offers free juice and coffee from machines for guests all day. staff were also a pleasure to deal with and really friendly, welcoming and accommodating attitude. We received a bottle of sparkling wine, chocolates and water with the room. which was a very delightful and welcome gift. Impulso Hotel is close to a number of bars and restaurants, including the Ruin bars. Great transport links with metro, tram and bus all within 5-10 min walk. The hotel offers free juice and coffee from machines for guests all day. staff were also a pleasure to deal with and really friendly, welcoming and accommodating attitude. Breakfast is generous and varied selection, but a bit hit or miss and the cooked breakfast was to to our tastes. The Negatives The rooms need soundproofing. external noise from the street facing rooms let in a lot of sound from the metro and traffic. This was quite disruptive between 7 - 9:30 am during rush hour each day. The interior noise was also an issue. The main hallway outside every room has an open atrium in the Center allowing sound to travel from the ground floor all the way to the 8th floor. This can be a real issue when guest arrives drunk and loud at 4am when the local bars close. Sound reverberates up the floors from reception and woke us up each night. this could be fixed with better sound proofing and dampening the sound that can travel between floors. In conclusion Reasonably good value for money and we enjoyed the stay overall. Great staff and service. If we were to stay again I would request a higher room that was not street facing.

A Memorable Stay at Impulso Fashion Hotel! Our stay at Impulso Fashion Hotel in Budapest was truly unforgettable! From the moment we stepped inside, we were greeted by a pleasant fragrance that set the tone for the rest of our experience. The hotel is spotlessly clean, with bright colors and beautiful lighting that make it feel so welcoming. The rooms were spacious, lovely, and equipped with all the promised amenities, making it the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring. The breakfast spread was simply phenomenal—so many varieties, especially kid-friendly options, that made mornings a delight. And the coffee? Oh my goodness, the BEST coffee I had in Europe! It’s machine-made, but the flavor was rich, nutty, and absolutely delicious—I couldn’t get enough of it. The staff deserves a special mention for their kindness, politeness, and incredible helpfulness. They went above and beyond, helping us book tours and providing detailed guidance for exploring the city. Their service truly made our stay extra special. The location is another highlight. It’s so close to Keleti Railway Station and has excellent connectivity with nearby bus stops, metros, and trams. While the Pest side has a different vibe, I never found the locality unsafe. It’s convenient and well-connected, which made getting around Budapest so easy. Overall, our stay at Impulso was exceptional. My kid loved it so much that they didn’t want to leave, and I can’t blame them! Budapest is such a beautiful city, and staying here made it even more magical. I already miss it, and I miss Impulso. Highly recommend this hotel for families and anyone looking for a comfortable and memorable stay in Budapest. ❤️

Our company arranged the hotel accommodation. From the first look, the reception lady and gentleman were very unfriendly and made us feel like we were bothering them with our presence. The room was fine, but note that there was no iron and the TV was not working. I went down to ask for an iron, and the lady said they only had 3 irons for almost 100 rooms. She told me, with a disgusted attitude, that none were available, but she could give me a room number so I could call and ask for an iron, which is totally unacceptable in my opinion for a 4-star hotel. The next morning, they called to ask what time I wanted to check out. I asked for a late checkout, and the gentleman on the phone said it was alright, but after 2 pm I would have to pay 20 euros, which was no problem as I planned to leave before 2 pm. I went down at 1 pm, and the lady told me I had to pay 20 euros for late checkout. I immediately told her that the gentleman had told me otherwise. The man I spoke to on the phone arrived and started arguing with me, saying he had told me it was 20 euros after 12 pm. It turned into a big argument, not about the 20 euros, but about the fact that he lied to my face and claimed he had told me this on the phone. The attitude of these two staff members was totally unacceptable for a 4-star hotel.

The main reason I gave them 3 stars is due to the lack of communication with the reception staff and what I mean by that is on their website and on Booking it's clearly stated that I should call in advance for a parking reservation. I did. I was told that it's not necessary and I would just park and pay when I arrive. I call the receptionist once I arrive in Hungary and ask for an early check-in. I explained that we've been driving for 16 hours. He says "No problem, but you need to pay 30 euros". I reply that it's ok and we're coming. I park at the street, struggling to pay the blue zone tax, because all the apps are in Hungarian, I spent 20 minutes paying and finally I begin to bring in the luggage.

The parking is FULL, there are no spots, and the taken spots are so small, that you are guaranteed to get a door slammed in your car. Anyway, now I have a new problem and I book a different car parking which is 2km. from the hotel, but that's not the real problem. The real problem is that we thought that we had it sorted, because someone on the phone was too lazy to book my spot or didn't care at all. All is done, I go to reception and the receptionist whom I spoke on the phone with tells me that there are no rooms available for early check-in, despite our prior phone call. He then proceeds to explain that there were no rooms when I called either, but he thought that someone would leave? Super unprofessional, because that messed up the whole morning plan that we made.

Breakfast was good, although not much variety, rooms need a bit of a touch-up since they are getting old and worn now. The double rooms doesn't feature a double bed, it features two single mattresses on a frame. The drain in the shower was clogged and there were some dirty towels. Opt for the deluxe room, the one we got was hilarious with the ceiling being in 20cm. from your head while you are laying in bed. Location is good, it's located in a shady part of the town, but close enough to the center of the city and spots you would visit.

Not much else to say, typical hotel with 3 stars at most. I don't know where the 4th...

It is a newly reconstructed hotel. The staff was super friendly, the hotel was clean, bed was comfortable and the airco worked well. The breakfast was very delicious, after a long time I really enjoyed a great hotel breakfast with high variety of food and drinks. They kept supplying food for the whole time, so even if you go to have breakfast at 9:30 (they are until 10), you still find everything available. I really liked that they somewhat changed the hot bufet every day, so you could dry something new. Also, for the whole day there is available water, tea, variety of coffee and juices, fruits and biscuits in the lobby area. For free of charge! Although the experience was exceptional, there were still few things that I personally did not like. the location is quite dark in the evening and I could imagine women being a bit afraid to walk there alone. Don't worry tho, it is right next to a metro stop/tram station, or within a 10 minutes walk you are at a busy square at which the historical city center starts. You can reach out the city enter within a 20-30 minutes walk. Still, in the evening you find some homeless people and some drunk alcoholics within the hotel vicinity. I found the noise coming from outside of the room quite annoying. We had a room towards the street in which trams go every now and then and they are just so loud that the building is nearly shaking. I get that, not the hotel's fault, the tram railway should be reconstructed. Yet one thing to blame the hotel for: although the room doors were quite heavy and closing them felt like closing a vault, for some reason there was like a 2cm space at the bottom between the door and the floor, so not only light from the hallway got to our room, but also noise from the hallway from anyone going to/from their rooms and in the morning also from the room service cleaning other rooms around. I would understand that in an old hotel, but this one is brand new! All in all, great value for the price and I would definitely...

I chose this hotel because it is marketed as a 4 star hotel and previews reviews are pretty good. However, in my opinion and after staying in several hotels, this fits more a category of a 3 star hotel and that is the most important reason I am giving 2 stars in my review.

PROS: Rooms are large (for European standards) and staff is always helpful and available to help. Breakfast is good and included with the price paid for the stay as well as high speed internet throughout the hotel. Parking is also included for those driving.

CONS: Cleanliness is an issue (floor felt sticky and in my personal experience, a piece of cookie that was not my own, remained in the bathroom’s floor throughout my stay so I ended up waking on my slippers). Maintenance is also an issue since the shower door fell off in both mine and my family’s bathroom as well. Location feels rather unsafe with homeless and drunken people around the area at nighttime, which made me feel unsafe to walk with my children after a day of sightseeing. Room is also not that comfortable and they initially provided just 2 pillows and 2 towels for a party of 4, although this was solved when we called to obtain more pillows and towels (however, I would not expect this in q 4 star hotel). Our room was on the second floor and cigarette smoke was present at many times during the day (I have to mention that was offered to switch to a higher floor to try to compensate for this). In addition, in my particular experience when I complained about these issues, staff were receptive and apologetic but did not offer a mere discount or refund for all the inconveniences caused.

OVERALL: I would say this is a 2 or 3 star hotel and in that case, guests would not have false expectations as I did. I think there are better options out there that really fit the category of a...
