We had a comfortable stay. The room was cozy, with a comfy bed and pillows, and had been recently renovated with a playful, modern decoration that we really liked. For a 3-star hotel, it was very good, though we think adding a couple of small extras would increase the value of the stay — such as a kettle for making tea at night without having to go to reception, and a small fridge for keeping drinks or sandwiches cool, especially during the hot summer months. Please note that guests had available tea, coffee and water 24/7 in the reception area. Breakfast was very good, with plenty of options including different types of bread, pastries, yogurts, and cereals. The hotel has a great location, within walking distance of the main attractions and close to restaurants, shops, and supermarkets. Considering the location, the price was really good and offered excellent value. The hotel felt safe, but we didn’t feel entirely comfortable walking around Budapest at night, even though it was fine during the day. Overall, a great stay with some room for small improvements that would make it even better.

I stayed at Ibis Styles Budapest Center, and overall, it was a positive experience. The rooms are a bit small but clean and well-maintained, making them suitable for a short stay or if you don’t need much space. The hotel’s location is definitely one of its strengths: very central, with both a metro station and a bus stop just a few steps away, which makes getting around the city very convenient. The breakfast, however, was a bit disappointing. It was quite repetitive, and during my five-day stay, it didn’t change at all, which can get monotonous. The reception also seemed a bit disorganized at times, especially during the evening. One thing to note is that the bathroom did not have a bidet, which I found unusual at first. However, I was informed that this is common in Hungary, so it’s something to keep in mind if it’s important to you. Despite these minor issues, I would still recommend the hotel overall, especially for its location and good value for money. If you’re looking for a convenient and functional place to stay while exploring Budapest, this is a solid choice.

We chose Ibis in part as it said on the website there was air conditioning. It was a very hot few days (almost 27C in our room) but the ac did not work. When I complained to Reception I was told that it had been turned off for winter! (Clocks turned from spring to summer time that night). They gave us a fan but it was still very hot and also noisy as we had to open the windows. It's a shame as the reception ladies were very friendly and polite and the rooms are pretty good (the deluxe, larger rooms). It was a nice, humorous touch to put 'You look nice' on the mirror. The breakfast was ok, not great quality but plenty. Also, the building itself outside is crumbling and there are danger warnings as you arrive! Not ideal, especially for a global brand where I thought safety would be important.

Looks like this Hotel was inaugurated recently - everything in the rooms is fresh, shiny & sparkling clean! Wifi works well. Bed is comfortable. Room is design I'd based on computer game we played in 90s.Lots of English channels in HD on 32inch smart Phillips TV. Good lighting, hair dryer but no minibar or locker in my standard room. Staff is efficient but looks a bit sad (smiles less) - either because they don't appreciate Asians or because this is how Hungarians are. Staff and people in general were happy and more welcoming in Vienna, Austria. It's surprising to notice remarkable differences between these two little adjoining nations, separated by few hundred kilometers only. Sadness & frustration amongst public represents the efficiency of leaders leading a nation. Being an Indian, I can understand this and actually feel the aura of a city and get the pulse of a Nation. Saw people drinking on roads early morning; people jumping traffic signals (someone almost ran over my wife the moment we landed here); saw quite a few beggars (but not as many as India & they don't frantically chase you like they do in India). This Hotel has a nice spread in buffet breakfast and even a vegetarian Indian can feel full (but no Indian dishes here). Coffee machine was new and sparingly used, so it churned out great cup of cappuccino for us. There are loads of Marts nearby from where one can groceries, ready-to-eat stuff, fruits etc. In case you want to buy booze, wine, cheese (French cheese that's costs Rs500 in India would coat you Rs70 here) etc. at 8 times lesser price than India then you must visit these stores (and must pay by Card and choose option of INR...

Though there are a few positives ( some very helpful team members one in particular I didn’t catch his name but he worked around 3pm) there are a few things I wish I knew before booking. There was no air con in the main area and dining area- it was in the 90’s and stifling in there. ||The rooms are micro size- I could not get to the other side of the bed or the closet and there was nowhere to place suitcase to access clothing- I had to utilize a side table that was not meant for the job. ||The room air con also was a huge failure - would not regulate and most nights it would get close to 26c while being very warm outside. ||The towels and hooks are located over the toilet which is unhygienic. ||In the morning the breakfast team is hovering often asking to take plates while we were still actively eating. The rushes in the morning you were often waiting for food to be replenished. ||And finally there is a gentleman that works the desk later in the evening - older - was extremely rude- because of no air con we asked if we could possibly have a larger glass with some ice for the water- he said “ no that’s for beer that glass is enough” - we had purchased over 10 adult beverages - we believe he was upset we were in the lounge interrupting his tv time. ||Overall- I would not recommend this location unless maybe you just need a one night and then move on but for us who stayed multiple nights we are recommending our tour group to seek...

My daughter and I stayed here to attend the F1 Grand Prix. We wanted somewhere relatively cheap as it was just a base and not somewhere we would stay too long at. I had initially booked a double room and asked for it to be changed to a twin. Apparently this meant an “upgrade” and had to pay extra €5 per night. The hotel itself is well positioned being a minute walk to a metro station which takes you into the city in under 10 mins, and also Budapest Keleti station. The area is a bit rundown if I’m honest. Lidl a minute walk towards the metro seems to be a hub for the homeless and congregated there from early morning (urinating on pavement) to night time.|The rooms are basic. There is no fridge or coffee/tea making facilities. If you want a coffee or tea then it’s readily available for free in the lobby as well as a paid bar and snacks.|The bathrooms could do with a spruce up, water pressure not very good.|As our room was facing the main road the noise was very limited at night, which was good. The breakfast selection was very good, with hot (sausage, scrambled egg and beans) and cold Buffett, with a large selection of breads. All in all the hotel was pleasant enough for a short trip but I think if we went again we would stay closer...
