This is a nice, little, cozy place to drink some wine, relax and enjoy time with love ones. They have a huge selection of wines, with prices ranging from around 400 to 1200 HUF. The service is fast and reliable, the staff speaks English and, if you're not sure what to have, they make great suggestions based on your preferences. The place is clean and neat, they have outside seating in the classic table & chairs feature, but they also have comfy sofas where you can sit and enjoy the sun and some wine. A truly excellent place to visit, in terms of atmosphere, interior design, quality Hungarian wines, and outstanding customer service including welcoming attitude, applied knowledge and personalized recommendations, and advanced English level of communication. The gentleman (possibly the manager/ owner) even let us stay quite a while after official closing time without saying a word (we didn't realize till we left how generous he was!). We are on our first visit to Budapest and found wonkavino just around the corner. We had beer wine and a small sharer plate which was delicious. However, the best find was our fantastic host Zulton, so friendly,welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. He guided us through a choice of very good Hungarian wines and beer.
