So we ate at the spicy fish Budapest. The food was good. I recommend the fried taro. Before we went, we had read a lot of the reviews on here and noted that most of the bad reviews were because of bad service in particular received at the hand of one female waitress. Well we met her. When we got in, we were served by a male waiter. He was courteous. We ordered and the food came. The female waitress (we learned her name Vicky), brought one of the dishes over. She plonks it on the table and walks away. We realised immediately that it wasn't what we had ordered so we called after her. She ignored us and walked to the end of the row and started talking to some customers. Even the customers she was chatting to were trying to tell her that we are calling her. She finally stopped chatting and sauntered over to us with all the energy of a dead fish whilst gesticulating like "what do you want" and rolling her eyes. She came took the plate without a word to us and went back to the front of the kitchen. My partner and I both looked at each other and said at the same time "she is the one". That made it funny. Otherwise her attitude and energy could ruin a good night out. That said...this was the only taint on an otherwise nice outing at the restaurant with a nice ambience...
Read moreCan't recommend this place. The only good thing about it is the interior design. Otherwise very bad. It was extremely hot inside with no air. Hygiene was bad as well, the tables dirty. Food was pretty much tastless and the ramen was quite oily with no taste. There were 3 waitresses, 2 young ones and 1 older. The 2 young ones shouldnt even be working in a place like this. One had an extremely oversized shirt and kept dragging her leg, other one had a hoodie. Not neatly dressed up. Other than that their attidutes scream they shouldnt be working at a restaurant. Both of them kept using their phone literally in front of the customers just standing at one place and playing on their phones. They had this idgaf attidute. A waitress that actually does a good job is one that asks the customers if they are happy with their meal, asks if you needed more and such. After we finished our meal nobody came to us. She was literally next to us because the customers next to us were paying she didnt even look at us and ask if we needed anything. We had to stand up and go to the counter to pay and left immediatly. Those waitresses need training or to be fired because their behavior is...
Read moreWe used to love this place but the horrible waitress mentioned by several other people found us today. I ordered a dish which I believed to be vegetarian, I even asked the server to confirm. He said not to worry, it has no meat. At the third bite I found some pork(?) so I called over a member of staff, the horrible waitress. I told her about the situation, she shut me off halfway saying "As you can OBVIOUSLY see on the picture, it has meat". I was shocked, as I specifically asked the other server about the meat content and it wasn't obvious on the picture at all. Even if it was, this is not how you handle a complaint. In the end they took off the main but we still had to pay for the side (empty rice, of course I didn't eat it but whatever, spend that money to hire better staff) They should know their menu better or shouldn't be afraid to go to the kitchen and ask before confirming, and the hoodie waitress shouldn't work here, she's incredibly rude and unprofessional. I'm really sad as we loved coming here, the food used to...
