The Fairfield by Marriott Rajajinagar is strategically located inside the Golden Heights Mall and a 5 min walk from the Lulu Mall. As a business traveler, I found its proximity to key business districts and amenities quite convenient. The Metro station is about 1.5kms away and there is always great connectivity to Auto's, Ola's or Ubers; which reach in less than 5 mins of waiting time. The downside is the maps show the Golden Heights Mall entrance as the pick up location and not the hotel's. Sometimes the drivers get confused. The hotel’s contemporary style and warm ambiance create a welcoming atmosphere. The accommodation offers well-appointed guest rooms, thoughtfully designed for comfort and functionality. During my stay, I appreciated the ergonomic layout and high-speed internet connectivity. Whether you’re catching up on work or winding down after a busy day, the room provides a comfortable retreat. The food in the room service is great, though they are expensive. With the great proximity of the location, ordering through the food delivery apps are extremely convenient. The front desk has a space to even collect your couriers and e-Shopping packages safely. The staff at Fairfield by Marriott Rajajinagar truly stood out. From the receptionists to the housekeeping team, their friendly and accommodating demeanor made my stay pleasant. Special shout-outs to Shubham, Ankita, Suraj, Vishaka, Hitesh & Biswajit for going above and beyond. They not only granted me a deluxe upgrade for my birthday week but also were kind enough to celebrate my birthday with a cake—an unexpected bonus! An appreciable gesture when you are away from your family & friends on a work trip in the middle of the week. The hotel’s restaurant, Kava, offers a delightful culinary journey. I enjoyed the diverse menu, especially the Indian specialties. The attention to detail and flavor combinations impressed me. The dining experience was consistently satisfying. There were days when I had to take out my breakfast as I was running late for the morning meetings, and the team was accommodating to have me take out my breakfast.
A call out to the Front desk executive who was firstly grumpy to give us any additional benefits to Bonvoy Elite members, but later she surprised us with a 2 piece laundry plan for all my colleagues, as we were having a long stay.
Ankita, Shubham & Hari, the Duty Managers go a great job in enquiring about everything going well during the stay periodically. They step in every time the guests have any kind of question or a concern.
While my overall experience was positive, there were a few areas that could be enhanced:
Room Lighting: Some rooms could benefit from improved lighting. I found myself in relative darkness at times. Property Maintenance: The hotel could invest in updating certain areas, such as the pool. Deluxe Room: The distance between the wash basin and the hand wash soap dispenser is inconveniently longer.
In summary, Fairfield by Marriott Rajajinagar strikes a balance between comfort and functionality. For business travelers seeking a reliable stay with attentive service, this hotel is a solid choice. I’d recommend it, making it my preferred choice to stay...
Read moreReception and staff: The employees here are ignorant of proper manners in a five-star establishment. You've checked in here, and nobody is around to show you to your room. When we dropped or picked up the key, Prachi, the receptionist, just asked us two questions: "Are you checking out?" and "Are you a guest of our hotel?" How can a hotel be safe if its employees aren't even able to recall who is a guest and who is not?||Room: To put it another way, the rooms don't feel particularly Marriott-esque. Okay, I realize that this is a basic Marriott hotel, but even basic hotels without affiliations have better accommodations than this one. The bathrooms are quite cramped, the hot water isn't hot, the extra bed was tattered and filthy, They also don't change the bedding if you stay for three nights. Extra towels were not provided, even after a request.||Food: It’s the worst of all. Is Fairfield actually a part of the Marriott hotel group? Is the food truly fit for a five star hotel? So where is the taste? The food is not even close to as good as small neighbourhood restaurants. The menu is same everyday (apart from upma) so I won’t be startled if the food is stale. Since I paid for it and was hungry had no other option ( They claim break fast is included with room as if it’s free, but nothing is free)||Security: This place has the worst security. They have scanner and everything, but what good is it if there is a party at the hotel and party hall is accessible from same entrance. Any one can enter any floor of the hotel because it seems like no one is there to escort those guests apart. I have been to other hotels in Bengaluru that used a system where guests staying at hotel had to use a key to access the elevator, preventing outside guests from accessing any other floor except party hall or restaurant. Furthermore, Fairfield is a component of Marriott without any worries regarding...
Read moreMost Horrible Service in Hotel Industry ever faced in my entire Professional Career. Let me go point wise incase the Hotel has any further queries.
Check In- The formalities took me 20 mins wherein the Reception staff kept me waiting stating that due to Power Fluctuations they are not able to issue me a Room Key. They could have given me a dummy key to atleast checkin to my room and freshen up. ( which they eventually did but after 20 mins of waiting)
Room- First assigned room they could not open due to the Lock was out of Charge. Second assigned room- Lights were not working. Flush was not working. The entire flush keyboard came out.
Conference Room- No one was checking in to understand the requirements. AC had only two modes- Full Blast and Off. The only thing the staff was doing was turning the AC on and off rather than moderating the temperature.
Cherry on the Cake- Restaurant- Food quality was not upto the mark as expected from Marriot. You have to wait for atleast 15-20 minutes for Roti's to arrive. My colleagues had finished with their first course and I was still waiting for Roti's to be served. Unfortunately both days I had to survive only on starters. Once the waiter arrives with the Roti's, he is saying he was already serving other before, hence the delay. But unfortunately he did not know that the other bulk party having lunch in the restaurant was my group only. On confirming with others, they also said that they had recieved Roti's just then and not before.
My Dear Fairfield by Marriot Mangement, Please understand as I am working in one Industry, wherein Customer requirements can be missed once but twice in two days(such as the lunch fiasco) makes it no mistake but a habit. Please do educate your staff to understand the customer requirements and not repeat mistakes. You may have lost me as a customer but you may still have time to save...
