Holiday Inn Bengaluru Racecourse by IHG — Hotel in Bengaluru

As a marriott & accor fanboy, the high standards were already set for me when exploring IHG Holiday Inn Hotel in Bangalore. But Oh Boy ! They surpassed all my expectations. I would rather term it as, "One of the best hospitality experiences"in my journey as a hotel critic.

Location - Bangalore Racecourse, the very center of everything good the city has to offer.

Welcome - They called me prior to my check in to know my time of arrival. I arrived late at the hotel because of my work schedule. To my suprise, they transferred me to the room on arrival & did the formalities in-room, considering i would be tired after a long day of work.. Wow ! mind you, this is not a ritz, regis or raffles, this was the humble Holiday Inn.

Special Thanks - To Mr. Saurav Banarjee for making all what it takes to prove to me that IHG is at par & even better than other hotel chains in India.

Room - They upgraded me to a racecourse view room with a balcony. The room was fabulous, very modern and spacious for a city center hotel.

Service - The service at this property was phenomenal. Special thanks to all the friends who served me so well. I can't remember all names, but to name a few, Raima, Chef Ajit & Amazing young manager, Mr. Aman.

Food - I tried their buffet restaurant and flagship restaurant, The Glass Kitchen. The food is excellent. Must try is The Glass Kitchen Restaurant for a different take on Indian Cuisine Curated by Chef Saha & Chef Ajit.

Amenities - The hotel has a well equipped gym, spa & a beautiful rooftop swimming pool.

Overall - Excellent introduction to an IHG property. They proved me - IHG is coming big & strong in Indian Hospitality Market.

Would i Return...

My stay at Holiday Inn, Racecourse was fantastic. The hotel's location was perfect, overlooking the Race Course and surrounded by lots of trees.

The rooms and service were top-notch, just like you'd expect from this hotel chain. I asked for a specific room that I'd stayed in before, and the staff I talked to at the hotel's call desk was really helpful. They made sure I got the room I wanted, which was a nice touch.

I want to give a shout-out to a few people who made my stay even better. The buffet breakfast at Cafe G was delicious, and the staff there were so dedicated. The chef even remembered how I liked my mini-pancakes, which was a nice surprise.

The front door staff were really helpful too. They took care of my luggage and had it ready for me when I needed it. Braison at the front desk was super helpful with my reservations and remembered all my room preferences.

Even though no one escorted me to my room, it was okay because it was a busy day. But Aman from Cafe G and Sahid from Housekeeping went out of their way to make me feel welcome. They were both friendly and helpful.

I also want to mention Prasanjit and Nitish from the In-Room Dining Staff. They were both really nice and made sure I had everything I needed during my stay. And the Alfredo Pasta from The In-Room Dining Oriental Box was amazing, it was a special request and I had it every day! And it was one of the reasons I chose this hotel again for my R&R stay.

I had an exceptional stay at your hotel, and I wanted to highlight the outstanding hospitality that made my experience truly memorable. Front office officer Deepika went above and beyond to set everything to a high standard. Her warm welcome and efficient handling of the booking process made me feel truly valued as a guest. I would give her a solid 10/10 for her excellent service. Having someone like Deepika at the front office undoubtedly contributes to the hotel's positive reputation and will undoubtedly attract more people to stay.

I also want to commend Aman for his remarkable service. His attention to detail and commitment to ensuring a comfortable stay did not go unnoticed. Aman's dedication to guest satisfaction deserves a perfect score of 10/10.

Additionally, I had the pleasure of experiencing the excellent hospitality of Pushpa from the buffet. Her attentiveness and friendly demeanor added to the overall positive atmosphere of the dining experience. She, too, deserves a perfect score of 10/10 for her exceptional service.

Lastly, Sreenadh from the chaat counter showcased great skill in serving delicious recipes. His commitment to delivering a delightful culinary experience was evident, and I would rate his service a perfect 10/10.

Overall, the combined efforts of Deepika, Aman, Pushpa, and Sreenadh significantly contributed to making my stay at your hotel truly enjoyable. Please convey my heartfelt appreciation to your dedicated team members for their outstanding service.
