LOTUS - All Day Dining Cafe

We visited for dinner on a Sunday and Lotus was a Zomato discovery. Booking for this place is not necessarily required. It’s not a standalone restaurant but is a part of the Visthara Hotel. Perhaps for that reason there was not much of a crowd except hotel guests and it appeared not to be a very happening place. The decor is pretty modern but the lights were a little too bright for me. Other than that there is not much of an ambience.

For food (for three) we ordered chicken tikka, mushroom pepper fry, mutton rogan josh, subz diwani handi, and two portions of naan. The chicken tikka was juicy and very well marinated and cooked. Mushroom was also decent. The subz handi is definitely a must have here. Though the mutton was also tender and well prepared, I was more a fan of the subz handi. Food is surely a 4/5. Total price for all was INR 2070 including an optional service charge @ 10% (INR 179). However we had an offer through Zomato Gold and got a 20% discount after paying through the Zomato app. After discount the actual pinch in the pocket was INR 1723 only for three.

A hidden hotel between the narrow bylane in Sahakar Nagar in Vistara hotel is LOTUS Dining. Went on a weekday but parking is always a problem here and the outside area near this place stinks with foul smell.

Enter inside the hotel this is a nice restaurant in the ground floor and the place is very neat, clean and well lit with lot of space. Very courteous staff and are very customer friendly.

Waiters are clear that the order might take time but it is worth the wait. Whatever dishes we had were of great taste. Definitely a worth place to go have some food veg/...

This is an amazing place! The food is great actually. Real High quality fresh tasting food. We'd ordered Fish and chips, Chicken Tikka Masala, Paneer Tikka Masala, Rotis and Naan along with Thai Tom yum soup! The Fish and Chips were heavenly! The service and hospitality is lovely. The staff is very welcoming too. The ambiance is cozy and quiet, which is soothing. The prices are very very reasonable. This restaurant is truly a gem, especially for having food with the family.
