FabHotel Prime D Chandlier - Hotel Near Ernakulam Railway Station, Ernakulam — Hotel in Kerala

Staying at this hotel was one of the worst hotel experiences that I ever had. I'll point out the reasons so that others don't have to go through anything similar.

1. The basement parking area of the hotel is really congested and if you drive yourselves to this hotel, chances are that you have to leave your car keys at the reception so that other vehicles parked behind your's can get out. You should leave the car keys at the reception at your own risk cause no safety will be guaranteed to your vehicle. On the next day of parking my car at the basement and leaving the keys at the reception I found my car parked outside, at an open area right next to the hotel which I was told was not the hotels property. The person who parked the car there left the driver side window completly open and thankfully nothing got inside the car nor anything inside was stolen. While I was about to leave, some guy came to me and asked for 30 rs for parking at this property since it was a pay and park.

2. If you are booking this hotel through Oyo, the room you seen in the website is not the room you get. It's a much smaller rooms with much less ameneties.

3. No drinking water was provided in the room. I'm not making a big issue out of it but you are paying a decent amount for your stay there. Providing drinking water at the room would have been decent. I had to pay 42 rupees for two bottles of water while checking out. Around majority of the channels were unavailable on tv.

4. The restaurant is closed on Sundays. So don't expect to get a cup of morning coffee or food as room service will be off on Sundays.

5. The hotels seems safe but the surroundings doesn't. The hotel is situated at the back side of Ernakulam south railway station. The way to the hotel is, through poorly lit streets and full of goods truck parked on the sides with less people or shops. If you are planning to take an evening stroll especially with family into the city I strictly advice you not to.

6. Covid-19 protocols were not strictly followed here. Only a bottle of sanitizer was provided at the entrance. No temperature checks were done, bags were not sanitized, some staffs wore masks on their chin while others were not wearing masks nor gloves at all.

The only good thing, I can say about this hotel was that the rooms, although small were neat and tidy, bed was really comfortable and some staffs were good mannered.

Average Hotel with an unnecessary Hype - Poorly maintained - Disappointing stay The hotel is not that pompous when compared to other business class hotels in Kochi itself. Stayed from 7/1/22 to 8/1/22 through Oyo Booking. Scene 1 - Room 212 Even though I had intimated arrival time and required amenities through telephone earlier in the day, the room was very disappointing. The linens were dirty and the towels were used. The toiletries were not even comparable to the ones provided in the website and there was not even a bucket in the bathroom. The rooms are a bit small but having compact storage spaces convenient to any traveller. The room was untidy and the Television was not having any set top box or connection. The true misery was when I tried to contact the reception. There was no intercom in the room and none of the numbers provided in the hotel address card in the room working/available. So I went down to the reception and the front desk person was very helpful as he immediately offered to change the room. So, i changed room and collected the front desk number just in case of any needs/problems during the stay. Scene 2 - Room 2 Even though this one was cleaner than the 1st room, the lines were not tidy/clean enough for a business class hotel. There were hair in the sheets and bed and I used my own sheets. This was truly disappointing especially when we are going through a pandemic. The bathroom was having Urine smell and the set top box was saying that it was not recharged. Since i couldn't contact front desk, Waited till morning, but still noone answered the calls to reception. Vacated the room before breakfast time after they checked the room and and left the place with the hope that the people who occupied the room before me were not infected with Covid-19. Very very bad experience. I booked through an online platform. They do not provide the rooms they display on those sites. Power was not available on my stay. They didn't provide a phone in the room to contact the reception. When I enquired about it they gave me a card with one number to contact. When I called that never it went to some.oyher person.

In the middle of night the power went off and the AC was not working. Floors are not cleaned, bathrooms are not hygiene. I was scammed by the pictures shown in the website. Only I felt something attractive is the reception and the lounge. I forgot to take the photos of room. Rooms are so tiny that you can only use the bed. The linen used in the bed seems pathetic, I asked for another room but they refused to provide me. They told me that the rooms were full. But again when i checked the online availability it was showing vaccancy. There was no hot water availability.

The thing made me so angry is that the lock of the rooms are not working. It was a matric lock system. Initially it was working but when I tried to lock it was not working. I informed the same in the reception. They told they guarantee for my luggage but they cannot do anything else. I left the door open. I asked for the spare key. The door handle comes with matric system and a key lock system. I asked them to provide the key atleast. They said they do not have th key for the doors. They only use the matrix system it seems. I have learnt not to take rooms near railway station or bus stations. You will find more good hotels near North railway station. I am not listing out the rooms here but I have felt more comfortable and safe in the both side. I am a regular traveller to Ernakulam.

Please don't be surprised by seeing the online images. They won't keep up to thier standards. The only place well maintained is the lounge. Zero star is my rating. While checking the other reviews i felt i was not only the one who...
