I was here with my family for dinner. The ambience of the hotel is nice and parking with assistance is available. We ordered porotta, chicken kondatam and chicken peratu as main course. Porotta was nice and flakey which was delicious. The two chicken dishes also tasted nice, but the quantity of curry for the price we pay is very less. Also I felt like the chicken pieces were also less. For dessert we ordered kesar pista falooda, which was overpowered with kesar essence and I don't know why there was no ice cream scope in it. For 190₹ it's not even worth. Apart from this the service was ok, nothing great. The bad part was the gents toilet which was in pathetic condition, I couldn't withstand the hectic smell. After having the food i asked for the manager and complained about it. I didn't want to make a scene, but when I asked for the manager, many employees came in and were hearing the conversation. The manager talked very nice and pleasantly, but there was an employee who didn't like my complaining and was arguing with me. So the manager was trying to make him calm. They were saying it was rush hour and this is the reason, then they should employee someone to clean on the rush hour as we are paying not just for food but also for the luxury. Hope it gets better and maybe the employee (one who argued in special) will get trained on how to treat customers.

This place is situated near Ernakulam south station. It's a very popular destination for food buffs. I had ordered chicken chettinad and parotta and others with me ordered fish curry meals, karimeen fry and chicken hakka noodles. The chicken chettinad was yummy but a tad oily for my liking and the parottas were fluffy and light. The meals were mediocre but the karimeen fry was excellent, the fish was really fresh. The chicken hakka noodles can be best described as decent and nothing to write home about. The service was poor, maybe because the restaurant was packed to the rafters when we dined. One the captain took the order he vanishes and never came to our table again to enquire whether we wanted anything else. Service needs a lot of improvement. Cost wise it is kinda medium, not too expensive nor cheap. I saw most people there order chicken biryani, maybe it's their specialty, I will check it out next time and update my review, definitely worth a visit.

4/5 May 2025 Visited Ceylon Bake House on May 2025, and tried their Mutton Paya Soup and Beef Kothu Parotta. First things first. Food is 5/5 no complaints. The soup did come 15 minutes after the Parotta and food was delayed but since the restaurant was fully packed with less than a couple of tables left, I don't mind it. Taste wise they hit the right spots, with both the quantity of pieces they provided on both the dishes and also on the flavours and spice factor was on point. Service. The restaurant does accept Swiggy and EasyDiner reservation which gives a 10% discount. I spent a little shy of ₹600+ on these 2 dishes. The staff though are a bit behind on communication and language, but the manager (front desk guy) handles things very well around there, making sure things are seamless. Though it's not located in a prime locality, especially for cars. I would definitely love to visit it once again I'm in Kochi.

This is a heartfelt review for not just this Branch of Ceylon Bake House but in particular for one of the personnel working there by the name of Mr. Ifftikar. And it's interesting that I was not the one who had the food there but instead it was my Mother and Sister who where having their lunches and dinner for almost a week there and as they aren't that tech savvy they repeatedly asked me to write a review on their behalf as they were extremely happy because of the Professional Service and Courteous and Cordiall behavior at this particular outlet as my last personal experience at the MG Road branch was so pathetic that I had made up my mind that I would never return back to any of your outlets due to the Managers behavior and attitude towards us even when we were regulars. But even then my mother had the nostalgia of going to Ceylon especially for your Mutton Biryani that she still took a leap of faith and tried again at the Woodland Outlet. And by God's grace and in her words she said that she felt welcomed and cherished by the Outlet and Mr. Ifftikar in particular who took great care of them and the icing on the cake was that it was the best taste that she had had of Naadan Food after a while. It reminded her of her mother's taste.

Food Items they tried and would recommend as well are:- Pal Iddiyappam and Vartaarcha Beef Pal Kappa and Meen Curry Steam Rice and Basic Dal for Vegetarians Meen Curry (Manga...

Had bad experience. We ordered for Appam and sweet corn chicken soup. Soup was not cooked and raw egg taste and smell. Appam not cooked well. I ordered for my 1 year old baby. He started spiting out. I informed the waiter and they brought new Appams, situation was the same. Again I informed the waiter and askefhim to taste. He apologized and gave me another new Appams. This time it was cooked and also hey gave me another chicken soup. Then for my hudhusb and myself we ordered chicken fried rice, chicken 65, and Butter chicken. My husband didn't have the chicken items . He was upset with the items ordered. Me thinking of the cost I forced to eat the butter chicken and 65, chicken 65 was Burned and hard too. Butter h Chicken was full of added colour, and Gravey was thick like curuma. Now I thought of writing this because. We had this food on last Thursday Aug 30th from ekn Ceylon bake house near to South railway station. Now me and my baby is suffering from stomachache and my mouth is full of ulcer and my tongue is worn-out. I am sure they have used ajinomoto and the quantity used is more. For last 1 week I am not able to have any food items. Doctor said it's because of the food you had from outside. And the items was very costly and we paid the bill of rs 800/- . Money waste, health got injured, and suffering a lot now. If you guys are not having good chefs please don't try your recipe. Don't...
