Luciya — Hotel in Kerala

I recently had the opportunity to stay at Hotel Lucia near to KSRTC stand. Overall, it was a pleasant experience with a few minor issues that i would like to share. First and foremost, the staff at the hotel were exceptionally courteous and attentive. From the moment I arrived, they made the check-in process smooth and welcoming, which set a positive tone for my stay. The building itself is well maintained, and I appreciated the overall ambience during my visit. The rooms were spacious and clean, providing a comfortable environment to relax in after a long day. Each room comes equipped with essential amenities like a TV and a wardrobe, which added to the convenience of my stay. The bathrooms were also clean and well kept, which is always a significant factor for me when choosing accommodations. However, I did encounter an issue with the fan in my room. It was loosely fitted. I promptly informed the hotel staff about this, and they assured me that they would address it. Another downside was the internet speed, which was quite slow during my stay due to maintenance work being carried out. If having reliable internet access is crucial for your visit, I recommend calling ahead to confirm its status before booking to avoid any inconvenience. On a positive note, Hotel Lucia features an in-house restaurant serving both veg and non veg food. It also has a bar attached for those looking to unwind after a long day. This is the worst hotel I have seen in my entire life. Extremely rude staff especially employee named saju. At the time of check-in they charged full payment of our stay. When we saw our room , it was very disappointing, a big hall with a bed only. There were no amenities like electic kettle, soap, toothbrush, water bottle, no hot water in the washroom, no towel, dirty bathroom. Bed linen was dirty with stains and hair as if they have not changed it. Their breakfast was cold and unhygienic. Dirty plates, not many options to eat. Our plan was to stay for 2 days but we had to checkout the very next day and searched another hotel. At the time of checkout we complained about their staff behaviour named saju who told us that if we are not satisfied then we should check out. Not one of the best hotels. The rooms are amazing and very spacious. But walking through the corridor to the rooms, there happened to be a bad smell of cigarettes. Many of the people find that difficult to cope up with. That was a very negative aspect of this hotel. The service is also not that good. This is actually a bar hotel that is why I personally do not recommend this hotel for people to book rooms and stay in. The rooms weren't locked when I checked in. Also there was no one from the reception accompanying us to guide us to the rooms. We had to go on our own and when we reached the room, we could see that the door was open and not locked. That, I felt was not a good way of handling a customer professionally and the place wasn't properly cleaned. Cigarette smells all over the corridor was the most negative thing that struck me.
