RIDICULOUS!! Please avoid this place if you are planning to look good on your big day!!! I had a really horrendous experience with Zatin, particularly with the owner. I coordinated with the owner/designer from the UK through WhatsApp, 3 months before my wedding to get my wedding gown ready. She spoke very amiably during the planning phase of the process. I wasn’t very picky or strict about the minute details of what I wanted on my gown but I did tell her that I wanted something decent. I gave her the picture of a gown and said I wanted the exact same thing for my wedding dress and specifically said that I needed the design exactly as in the picture. The owner said she knows whose design that was and promised to get it done just the way it was on the picture. She was very slow in responding to messages on WhatsApp which wasn’t very encouraging. I completely trusted on her skills and went for my first trial one month before my wedding. I did not get to look too much at the details of the work on the day but tried the dress on and found it comfortable to wear. Before I could make any comments, I was told there will be more works added on to different parts of the gown. I did not even get a chance to discuss about the gown with my fiancée who accompanied me, as we were drowned in a conversation with the owner. It was after 2-3 days that I got a chance to look at a picture of me in the gown. The gown simply made me look my WORST!!! On looking closer I realised that the design had gone completely wrong on the major part of the dress!! It did not need a designer’s eye to identify that the dress had nothing to do with the design I had asked for. I contacted the owner and apologised to her for not pointing it out on the day of the trial and asked her to make the required amendments. At this point she asked me to send her more pictures of the design I wanted. This was ridiculous because I had to return to the UK in the next few days and I was a month away from my wedding day. She had two full months to do her job!!! I felt absolutely deceived and had no confidence that she would be able to pull it through in a month’s time. To prevent a disaster on my wedding day I contacted her to cancel my order. Her response to my cancellation request was absolutely unacceptable and rather dramatic. She literally blamed me and kept stating that I didn’t give her enough details and that I left after the trial happily!!! She totally ignored the fact that the team destroyed my wedding dress. She did not even acknowledge their mistake or apologise for it!! I have never encountered such unprofessional conduct from any team.. She had no courtesy or remorse to refund even a penny out of the advance I paid her (10k!!). I eventually got my dress stitched by the original designer of the dress I wanted made. They kindly made it ready in the next few weeks and the gown was fantastic, thank God!! I lost my advance amount and had to buy an expensive gown because of the inefficiency of the team on Zatin!! But I am glad I cancelled my order with Zatin.. I would NEVER recommend Zatin to anyone, especially the brides from abroad who has the added stress of lack of leave to come home!! ABSOLUTELY...
Read moreI usually don’t write reviews, but I truly hope this helps future brides avoid what I went through.
I ordered both my wedding lehenga and gown from Zatin Designers two months in advance, trusting that it would give them enough time to deliver perfectly. Unfortunately, the experience turned out to be one of the most stressful parts of my entire wedding journey.
Despite promising delivery 10 days before my wedding, I only received the outfits a day before my engagement, which was held in Kochi along with my wedding. The delivery dates kept changing, and I had to travel from Kannur to Kochi multiple times for trials. Even on what was supposed to be the final trial, the stitching wasn’t complete. I was physically unwell and emotionally drained, yet trying to stay calm. There was no proper final fitting – just last-minute chaos.
The staff always seemed confused about the designs I had clearly communicated from the beginning. I had reference images and a clear vision, but the final outfits did not resemble what I asked for.
The gown’s bust area was poorly constructed, with cups too large and a visible bulge, making it sit far from the skin. Even fashion tape couldn’t fix the fit. The lining of the trail was messy and unfinished, leaving me with a wardrobe malfunction on my wedding day – something no bride should ever experience.
Though Seena chechi was kind and patient during appointments, the rest of the team felt irresponsible and disorganized. Communication was poor, timelines weren’t respected, and customer care was essentially non-existent.
I know it was a busy wedding season — but that’s not an excuse to ruin someone’s big day.
What should have been a joyful and exciting part of my wedding became a constant source of stress. I now find it hard to even look at my wedding photos because of how I felt in my outfit.
I have known Zatin Designs for a long time now, which makes this even more disappointing. I truly hope Seena chechi sees this review and takes it as constructive feedback – to build a more professional and responsible team that matches the vision of a designer boutique...
Read moreMy parents first approached Zatin completely clueless as to what design, colour, style etc would suit me for my engagement and wedding attires. I was not in Kerala at the time and they were panicking because we literally just had two months left for the event. They had visited multiple shops in the area and found the team at Zatin very understanding, supportive and helpful. They reached a rough idea and once I reached Kerala, We directly went to Zatin. The entire design was handled by Aparna and every little concern I had about my body shape, size or colour were handled by them patiently and with their wonderful ideas. Aparna designed the perfect engagement lehenga for me that day and all my fears were put to ease. It was delivered before the agreed delivery date and on the delivery date, we tried it again and made a few final customisations. Aparna, Sahala and team made the whole experience super relaxing for us and even the smallest doubts I had were completely taken care of and they always checked to make sure I was 110% happy with the lehenga. The pricing was also genuine and not crippling compared to other brands & stores. They also gave ideas about matching accessories and how to match the dress with whatever the groom was wearing. The intricate works were all perfectly done and overall the whole experience was 100/100. We had decided at some point to stick with white sari for the wedding and still decided to try out 1-2 gowns anyway and fell in love with the first design we tried. Aparna helped customize it and now I'm waiting excitedly for the same. Thank you so much for completely taking care of one of my biggest concerns for the wedding, ie the attires, in such a stress-free and enjoyable manner. Thank you for creating the perfect bridal...
