Feedback - Holiday inn express, pune Hinjewadi
Duration - 4 nights
Check in - Check in was at early morning 5 o clock. Staff was there at 5 o clock. Check in was quick, however we had booked a Queen bed in MMT, and hotel's system was showing twin Bed. Showed him the booking on MMT. Then he had alloted a queen bed but, room made for physically disabled guests.(room 109) Rating - 7/10 (mismatch in booking in MMT & hotel system) Neither security nor any hotel staff helped with luggage anyway.
Room - Room was small at this prize range. (6800+taxes)
Improper vantilation in washroom, hence bed smell. Dental kit not provided, hygiene /grooming kit not provided, even body lotion was also not ther. We asked for sleepers & then it was provided later on. Rating - 4/10
House keeping - house keeping quality was good. Time taken by team almost 30 minutes for through cleaning. But when we call for cleaning they take average 30 minutes to appear. Rating - 8/10
Food/in room dining/breakfast - Nightmare experience
For breakfast, Breads - Dry. Spoons - not there Bowls - not there, wait for fresh cleaned bowls to come. Tea kettle - Tap faulty - spoiling customer's cloths Hotel staff - not there to attend or hidden in kitchen to not to face customers. If we ask for toasted bread, they will point and just show the counter, not helping in serving. Tables allotment or cleaning of used table - not done Dis agreement amongst staff was observed. Like you do that table, other one says you do the table. No ownership or in charge.
In room dining - food worst Other day we ordered from zomato, then we just requested for empty plate, no one came for 30 minutes, (did 3 time call, not appeared) Then after they stopped picking calls. When we went to restaurant - they were all having lunch together, phone was kept ringing no one attends. (empty plate was kept aside, they informed us to take from there) (Dhaba like experience in hotel) (i guess dhabas are more professional than this restaurant of hotel)

Checkout - check out was at 2.30 am as we had to catch a flight One lady - Nayan was there during check out counter. She made wrong invoice.
We booked for 4 nights, and tax invoice was given for only 3 nights (they average out the 4 nigh cost total paid by us in MMT into 3 nights)
When we asked, She said - ab kuch nahi ho sakta bill ban gaya, we said this is unfair. She said she will talk with morning in charge if anything can be done in the morning. We had to catch a flight so we left.
We did the call in the morning to morning in charge, he says duniya ki sari hotel me aise hi hota hai, aap ne early morning 5 baje check in kiya tha is liye aisa hua,
we tried to put some examples of other hotels we had already visited in Hinjewadi and said we booked for 4 nights, we should get bill of 4 nigjts, (shared hom the experience of lemon tree Hinjewadi - as we haven't travelled to all the hotel of world unlike him) But the guy won't listen to us. And keep on pouring his huge knowledge on us.
Then we had asked help to MMT. They said yes it is unfair invoice practice. They connected with hotel & we got correct invoice in 2 days from the holiday inn hotel WhatsApp number, not informed officially through call, or not apologised,

Read more24 hrs before check in, the duty manager Vikrant was informed that we will be driving in from South Goa, a journey of abt 11 hrs in the heat of the summers and that the room should be ready with double occupancy amenities and to not make us wait to settle in. My husband is a senior citizen. We were assured that all will be taken care of. We checked in around 4.30pm, dead tired and the amenities in the room were not there, it took them 1/2 hour to sort things out. A double occupancy room with single occupancy amenities? Are you not charging me for double occupancy? The AC wasn’t cooling, at 17 degrees it took more than 3 hours for the room to cool. The staff had no clue about the reason for this. A room change was offered but even there, after 1/2 hour of the AC being on it wasn’t cooling. So we decided against a room change. Breakfast is included in the room price but the spread is sad. Except for fresh fruits, idli and sambar nothing is palatable. Infact on the 2nd day the watermelon in the buffet was spoilt and seeing it I brought it to their notice and it was immediately replaced. Parathas are hard, puris are hard, sausages are hard, sandwiches, muffins and croissants are dry and chewy. Watermelon juice is so watery that it is awful. Is this the standard of a Holiday Inn Express? Electric kettles are plastic ones, the amount of plastic molecules that are leeching into the water every time we heat water is not at all healthy. How much does it cost to provide electric metal kettles? For the last 6 months we are telling them to do the needful but of no avail. All the above is known to the Front Office manager Suhas and the F&B manager but except for apologies nothing else is done. And the next time the same happens again. The last 2 times we refrained from writing the above but this time when the same was repeated we decided to write the review. Read moreI was allocated room no 0504, the night of Day 1 the AC stopped working and was making loud noises. Service representative came in to fix the issue which was done by powering off and then back on. He confirmed that the issue will not happen again. The AC had the same problem in the next 3 hours - I was not able to get enough rest for my Important meeting (I barely slept 3 hours)
After informing this to the Dayshift manager (around 7a) while going to my office i was informed that my luggage will be transferred to another room.
I was moved to room 0502, which also had a loud AC, but atleast it worked
On day 4 of my stay, while i was about to leave for work. I was informed that my room would be shifted again, with no prior intimation, I reluctantly agreed
To my horror i was shifted to Room 0504 again, i asked the manager if they had fixed the issue for certain. He said they had. But in a couple of hours the AC issue started again ie no cooling with the blower making alot of noise - I was done with Holidayinn by now, I called in to express my frustration and they sent in a repair guy who brought a ladder in and took good amount of time working on the AC. I dont know what he did but he confirmed the issue was now fixed.
By now I had decided to checkout the next day and stay at my friends place - I am soo done with Holiday inn. The management was unable to respond effectively, they did nothing to ensure my sentiments were good instead they let them fall.
