Collection O Eden Residency — Hotel in Meghalaya

My overall raiting is 0 Location :-Behind central point hotel ,would have been a good location in the middle of the market but this is no parking zone.Just immazine you are carrying all your languages from another lane to here and then climbing horrible ugly uneven slippery stairs to enter the hotel.more stairs to reach reception and then even more to reach your room.Super bad.

Room and bathroom condition:Very tiny room and bathroom (deluxe ).you can hardly walk with being touched by the furnitures. Not recommended with child.Initially we were given a room with dirty mirror and rusty wash basin so we changed that room and got even smaller room. Comfortable bed and clean bathroom without tissue paper although. Horribly poor towel given as if to clean your shoes.

Service: Hotel doesn't bother if customers are being offered room service for cleanliness. We had to asked to clean the floor on the 3rd day and they cleand the floor not the bathroom though. All though we were out all day and it was around 7:30-8pm when they helped with the cleaning and I appreciate that. 2.Could not take the facility of Free breakfast but the restaurant at night looks all empty. I don't think any one order food at the hotel restaurant. 3.They don't bother to carry your stuff to the room or to your car while check out. Although they must offer help to carrying languages as their entrance is no parking and with ugly stairs which is difficult to climb for even for a young gentle man with languages. 4.No one at front desk after 10pm .You are locked in the hotel till 6:45 am as they will lock the main entrance. Just imagine no one at front desk and it's being locked ,you can't go out to pharmacy for any emergency. How amazing facility and services that!!

Now this is not enough. Please read my experience as why I thought they are 0 rater and should get out of service Industry. This is due to some unprofessional and poor customer service. Their staff started gossiping,giggling and laughing next to our room when we almost slept. Then they started hammering /some construction work at the middle of 11pm in the night.No one at front we had to call our services provider all though our booking was escalated but they obviously couldn't stop the hammering at that point . We were very disturbed. Next day we were all set for cherrapunjee trip and we found ourselves locked at hotel.It was 6:30am which is quite busy time in shillong. An old fellow who could speak in bengal came around 6:45am and I was very disgusted by that time as our trip got delayed due to their unprofessional hidden rules. So when I was asking him about their timing to open gate his verbiage was "we can't help if you wanna go out at 3 am".My point is if I need medical help then what do you do? Anyhow ,Then when I explained him the last night hammering issue he responded as if he knew it and simply said "if you are having so much trouble,you can change hotel". Now just immazine how dare this guy is a part of service industry?I was furious and I warned him to check on what is he saying as I will take time to review them on each and every possible site, he started becoming polite and when we checked out on our scheduled day he tried his best courtesy which meant nothing to me. Honesty if I had time I would have deal with my service provider to change the hotel.but we hardly stayed there as we were all day trip and it was so beautiful I hardly had time to spend in this hassle otherwise I would have loved to change my hotel. My sincere request you guys to not to go for it even for free specially if with elderly or children. You will die but No medical help can be provided as no one at the front desk and you are locked ;-) Horrible and NOT...

I stayed in this hotel for 7days and it was pleasant.It is located in a very busy no parking road in the central POLICE BAZAR area.It is located in a four storey walk up building without any lift The ground floor contains a good number of shops and the reception is in the first floor.The most negative aspect of the hotel is it's entrance|. It is in a dirty narrow alley much higher than the street level and we being senior citizens had difficulty in climbing these7steep stairs with our luggage as the road full of pavement hawkers is a no entry zone for all vehicles.After reaching the entrance, I had to negotiate another 14steps to reach reception. However, the hotel personnel carried my luggage to my room. I had earlier rrquested them over phone to allot me a room im first floor and they allotted me room no101,one adjacent to reception It was a spacious clean room with a clean washroom.Room decor was good and pleasant.There was no AC or fridge but cofee,/tea maker was provided. Clean linen were changed everyday.It is a hotel managed by OYO but the owner presumably is Muslim because there were some decorated inscriptions hung on the walls written in Urdu or Arabic which I could not understand. Complimentary breakfast was not elaborate or sumptuous but nevertheless fulfilling and enough. They have a big menu card but dont have a restaurant of their own. However, they prepare the breakfast in their kitchen and was fresh and hot On the first day, they served us a set breakfast but on other days it was buffet.Staff were polite and helpful but special mention must be made of the lady receptionist MARY who was always smiling and ready to help.The day I arrived at 4pm, I was kept waiting in the reception as my room was not ready but after staying for a week, when I requested for a late checkout by 2 hours, it was denied So I checked out at12 noon and waited in the sofa in reception as my flight from Guwahati was at 9pm. I left the hotel at 3pm and till then the room vacated by me was neither cleaned...

A year back thr used to be a great person on the reception but this time i found he left the job so has the service 😁.present one is lost in his own world u have to ask 4 times to get an answer .Not friendly at all .I wondered why is he in the reception .Expect no room service of lunch and dinner as they have no staff that was the answer i got when i asked and about to check in after payment of 2200rs fr a double room expect the room to be small .Later as i was about to settle in the room and rest as i was driving the wholeday i found the room is infested with cckroaches and its small ones lots of them i told the guy to have it mortn sprayed .But later when i returned frm lunch i found many insects roaming in the walls under the bed .At night it was the best had to try to sleep keeping the lights on so no micro cckroach can enter my ears out of fear i also found thr nest in the bed headboard !!!! i couldnt sleep the whole night and feeling repented fr i paid 2300 fr such a well managed hotel room .later 5 am i could manage to sleep fr 2 hours as i had to drive again and return i was feeling sick and tired fr lack of sleep.so be careful .Oh i forgot to mention the guests who stay they are so ill mannered and hotel staff dont even give a damn about it to maintain that so that other guests dont get disturbed.At night after 12 as ur trying to sleep among the loitering insects expect the guests to shout throwing empty liquior bottles out of the window glass .Sounds of baby crying its horrible this time fr me will never go back here again haha.So be careful bfr u pay...
