Very good Home-stay for travelers specially for family. Situated in a calm residential area of Quinton Road with easy access to Police Bazar Center Point. Owner of the property (Mr. D Chowdhury) and caretaker (Mr. Thapa) is very cooperative & helpful. Mr. Thapa received us from the Bus station.
We stayed in a room with 4 bed which is specious, well decorated and well equipped with TV, Fan, Tea maker etc. Washroom is specious with 24hr. hot water facility. Complimentary Breakfast was okay.
QUINTON ENCLAVE is not an alternate of good Hotels, but as a homestay, it is better choice in Shillong. However, it needs improvement in room-service, washroom & Breakfast.

Read moreThis property is within the walkable distance from the Police Bazar in a quiet area compared to the crowded Police Bazar. Myself visited with my family members last weekend stayed their for four days. The rooms were cozy. Washrooms were also clean. I would like to mention about Mr Jayprakash who started following up before we reached the hotel to give the actual direction to the driver and he gave us full assistance during our stay. Mr Jayprakash used to prepare breakfast even at 06:00 am. I would also like to mention about Mr Dhruv Chowdhury, owner of the property who guided us whenever we needed before arriving at Shillong. Only the problem we faced is that we travelled with four Senior Citizens and they faced problems while reaching to the hotel from Police Bazar by walking. The car we hired dropped us near our hotel on the 1st day but they used to drop us at Police Bazar the other days. Otherwise no problem for the people who don't have any joint pain.
Thank you Mr Chowdhury and Mr Jayprakash. Already recommended my colleague and he is willing to...
Read moreWe had booked the place for 3nights. The two family rooms had bunk beds. I guess that is good only for the winter times as during our stay we weren't comfortable as it was very hot and there was no fan near the upper bunks. The caretaker kept asking to make no noise and lower the tv volume after 10 pm as it was a residential area and said they had to wake up early.. but since we had children with us who didn't want to turn off the tv and sleep early it turned out to be a problem for us. What actually disappointed me was that although we had checked in late evening, one of the washrooms was still not done. The basin was absolutely filthy with food stains all over. We informed the owner about it and despite promising to get it cleaned by the next morning....he didn't send anyone during the entire stay. This came across as a very unprofessional behaviour. Other than that ..the rooms and washrooms are spacious. the place is situated at a very close proximity to police bazar and is also budget friendly...
