Umpteen visits to Global Fusion and still I had written no review, thought it should be sorted out and booked a table for dinner. It was an early booking, at 7 pm, so getting the table we wanted was not an issue. There were a few changes to the restaurant since I last came, and now they have a party hall, where the second starters counter used to be. But there was no change to the ambience, it was as lovely, mellow and welcoming as always. We started with a round of drinks, Kings Zombie, a concoction of white rum, tequila, schnapps, orange and lime juices. It was made strong as per my request, and I loved the taste, I strongly recommend it. Soon our table was populated with the starters we opted for, the Fish Tikka was simply amazing, and so was the Spiced Corn. The Teriyaki Chicken was not at it's usual best, I found it to be a little too hard. Our next drink was the Ant in The Hill, a rum based cocktail and it was made strong as well. Slightly bitter, the pinapple juice went quite well with Captain Morgan. Our next starter, the Sushi, was the surprise package, even though it was vegeterian. There were two varieties, the names escape me now, and both were a delight. I didn't quite like the Squid, found it to be far too rubbery, and the Mutton Seekh Keebab was a total downer, had a weird cinammon kinda flavour to it. The Cheese Prawns were upto the mark as usual, and another highlight was the Prawn Yi Fung (not sure of the name), it was an omlette wrapping with stuffing of prawns, finger licking delicious. The Lemon Herb Fish was yummy too, served in a banana leaf wrapping. For the mains, we didn't have much space left in our tummies (as usually happens at buffets) so we had only a little bit of Rogan Josh which was amazing, and some Steamed Rice, which was, well steamed rice. One round of desserts was all we could indulge in, that included a bowl of amazing Gulb Jamun, a few really awesome Red Velvet and Chocolate pastries, and one of the best Moong Dal Halwa I have had. With that, we called for the bill, our stomachs full and hearts content. To sum up then, Global Fusion is a must visit for those who haven't already, and those who have will certainly drop in again, me included. It has something for everyone, be it veg or meat or seafood or drinks, you'll not be...
Read moreRecently visited on the 26th of September 2021, overall experience pathetic and very DISAPPOINTING!!! 1st of all the place was overcrowded wasn't expecting that to be honest must be around 150 people when we reached the venue by 8pm.No social distancing nothing is maintained. We booked for buffet and everytime we gave the coupons of the food to the person who was serving us was taking minimum 15 minutes to get 1 thing then the next thing from the coupon was taking another 5-10 minutes and so on. Fresh lime soda which was unlimited was diluted. Everything what we ordered came in excess, the quantity was alot then how much they used to serve before if you're going for buffet you'll seek for varities but they'll send the food in a big quantity. it was soo overcrowded that we had to call for any of the server who was coming near our table and giving him our coupons there was a time I gave the coupons to the floor manager other than that when it came to desserts there were limited desserts to choose from in that too the chocolate ice cream got over when we asked the floor manager about the same he was like it's over. The moong dal halwa and gulab jamun they literally put all the moongdal halwa over the gulab jamun because it was 10 minutes to 10pm.The fridge is named as (Baskin Robins) where as the ice-cream box which are kept in it were of havmor, plus there was nobody to serve the ice-cream like before, the service was really pathetic the floor managers were only busy clicking pictures for the customers, after all of this exactly at 10 o'clock they start telling you that please leave cop's are come down which isn't true they even tell you that cop's vehicle is come down which is not true. Do have a look at the pictures which I've clicked you'll will come to know. I'm never going to visit the bandra outlet ever. I would recommend the versova or Sakinaka outlet. When I reached down on the road there were no cop vehicles and obviously I never seen a single cop... Just too...
Read moreHello everyone, l usually don't share any bad restaurant experience but this time things went too far and I am writing this restaurant review so that you guys don't go through the same issues that we went through last night. We booked a table for 16 at Global Fusion bandra on the occasion of my parents' anniversary. Firstly, inspite of being told twice on call that I have a person on the wheelchair, they didn't bother to inform me that there is no alternative but to step down those stairs at the entrance, which wasn't the case before. Then followed the service, horrible is an understatement !! 4 different people from my table provided the server coupons for the starters that we wanted & informed them how many portions as we were 16 of us, yet 50% of the items didn't even reach our table. And the ones the ones that came didn't reach the other end of the table. 2 of the vegetarian starters were spoilt. We placed an order for dimsums as soon as we entered, we got them after almost 1.5 hrs and that too the filling inside was raw. We literally gave up on the starters as it was taking more than 20-30 mins for things to reach us and we ate the main course which was okish. When we were practically done with everything including the cake cutting, the server comes with 1 plate of a starter that we had ordered in the beginning. The overall food quality has gone down drastically. The servers were very cold and unwelcoming too. Whenever asked for something, they gave a very weird look as if they are doing us a favor. It has really pinched us to pay 1599 per person and get such horrible service and food. The tables around us were complaining about the same issues as well. Requesting you all to please think twice before...
